The Biltmore Estate in Asheville really is an anchor for Bruce Hornsby fans and this site’s visitors from across the globe, and has hosted many meet-ups in the past. This year was no different!
This was actually a co-headline show with Blues Traveler, who had their set cut short by a thunderstorm. Bruce and co took to the stage at around 9:30 and were granted extra time beyond the curfew. John Popper from Blues Traveler joined on harmonica for Defenders of the Flag.
This was my own attempt to tape, which I’m largely happy with, save for the levels being a little hot for a LOUD Funhouse. Apologies for missing a surprise second encore, when the band played Morning Dew to remember R.S. Hornsby, who played the same song with them at the Biltmore ten years ago almost to the day (08/20/05).
I’m a little behind on updating setlists because of sporadic access to the internet, so I’m making use of this opportunity to share the audio that I grabbed tonight. It was great to meet a number of you – please enjoy this show and feel free to leave any feedback.
