Here’s a rare one – besides the solo shows and the band shows and even the duet shows with Sonny Emory – this is a duet show with Bela Fleck on banjo.
This is a soundboard recording from 1996 and stands out as a highlight of the wonderful collaboration between Bruce and Bela… unsurprisingly, almost completely unrehearsed. They were both part of the Gilmore Festival and guested on a panel on improvisation. Later that night came this show, where they practiced what they had earlier preached.
