One of the first shows out of lockdown, and also one of the very best audience recordings I think I’ve ever heard.
Maybe it’s the spaced apart crowd, or maybe the venue, or a taper who really knows what he’s doing – or maybe it’s just that the band was in such fine form – but this is a stellar recording from Chaz.

As the world starts to open up, Bruce and the band are back out on the road for the first time in 20 months. They kickstarted the Levitt Pavilion’s summer season in style with this terrific set. As you’ll hear, they are still prepared to wing it and play songs which are “not in their first sixty”.
