ParticipantHi Si! Thanks for the new forum! This is great!
I have one request. I would like to hear “The Show Goes On”. This is one of Bruce’s earliest songs that he made before he lowered his register so you may need to find an old version of it. Again, thanks for the forum.

That’s done, Larry, and a recent version to boot.
Any more for any more?

ParticipantMaybe…?
“Till the Dreaming’s Done” from October 6, 2000, please.
Or the truly amazing version of “Jacob’s Ladder” that Bruce did on piano with Huey Lewis on harmonica and backing vocals (a CA show?), please.
Or a “Western Skyline” that starts out with “Drunken Hiccups” (like the May 24, 1996, one), please.

ParticipantIt was rumoured a while back that Bruce was to release an album of classical piano pieces and some of his solo instrumentals. How about a classical piece by someone like Bach? Do you have recordings of anything like that from his concerts?
Thanks.

ParticipantI’ve love to hear “Lost Soul” if possible.

ParticipantWOW! Thanks Si for using my request! On a serious note, my thoughts are with all of my friends and distant cousins in the U.K. after this morning’s terrorist attacks.
PEACE

GuestRequest for Circus on the Moon intro
If you have any shows where Bruce opens with Circus on the moon I’d like to see it as a Daily Dose. I know he opened here in Richmond, VA last year with a nice solo piano intro.

GuestCircus on the Moon request
Ditto with “Circus on the Moon”. Looking for a nice Bruce intro.
Stay safe!

ParticipantTaking requests?
I love his covers…always an interesting take on popular and not-so-popular tunes…I like the more recent stuff so I can here where the band is at these days…

KeymasterI’ll get back to putting some of these up in the next few days – there was a particular song that I wanted to put up today. Thanks for the suggestions, and keep them coming!

GuestDose requests
Hey Si,
Couple of requests:
– ANYTHING from the 03/23/1997 Berks Jazz Festival show with Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, especially that huge “Rainbow’s Cadillac” medley with a quote of Ornette Coleman’s “Ramblin'” and “Norwegian Wood” in the middle. I remember seeing this on another site.
– 07/06/1996 Saratoga Performing Arts Center Spider Fingers > Well You Needn’t with Giovanni Hidalgo on congas. (I’ve downloaded this from bruuuce.com before, and deleted it accidentally in a hard drive formatting!)
– 07/14/2004 bi-tonal “The Way It Is” (I’m a geek, I know)
– Any full cover of “Low Spark of High Heeled Boys”
Thanks for all your work, Si. And I do download the doses usually, and I wouldn’t mind having another username/password. I’m going to sign up on the forum soon as well!

Well I’ve accounted for a few of those requests in one Dose – July 9’s is Circus on the Moon, with an extended intro. Enjoy!

ParticipantGreat job on the forum, Si!!!
I used to have a download of Bruce, where he was explaining to the audience how he practiced and performed “two handed independence”…And I thought I had downloaded that from your site…It has to be at least 4-5 years ago…It also sounded like it was a solo gig for Master Bruce…but he was definitely interacting with the audience (as he always does, for that matter?), and it was an incredible little journey that Bruce took on the keys… Any rememberance of this file?? if so, can you put it on the Daily Dose once more? Thanks again!!
Dave

KeymasterDave B. wrote:he practiced and performed “two handed independence”…Dave – I think I know the one you mean – I’ve posted it up just now.
Also, I’ll periodically be putting up two doses to showcase Jonathan Richards, who did a great job of interviewing Bruce for London’s LBC radio. This particular work was nominated for an award at the New York Radio Festival. Hope you enjoy it.

GuestHow about some White Wheeled Limozine. I dont know how to spell it.
My favorite Bruce song because it’s so emotional and you don’t listen to the song you can feel it. I love when he puts different songs into it like “Little Saddie” and “Low Spark of High Heel Boys”

GuestHow Far am I….
Si,
You recently posted “How Far am I from I frm Canaan” and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. I’d really appreciate an encore of that dose sometime.
Thanks & Love the Site.
