Every Little Kiss(only a couple times in the past 4 years)I heard/read an interview somewhere in which Bruce said he doesn’t really feel like playing Every Little Kiss any more. Old Playground did get a tease last year, I think 8/21/05. I’d love to hear any of those three this summer though. Also Passing Through, which got played 7/24/05 but otherwise has been pretty much out of the rotation.

KeymasterThe trick to getting an older song played is to write out the words… “Old Playground” was a request of mine after I had scribbled out some lyrics (and asked him to tie it in with Rainbow’s Cadillac).
I do have a plan to get “Passing Through” out of him… I have an old favourite (non-Bruce) song that I’d like to hear a segue from. I mentioned it to him in jest last summer and he was surprisingly receptive!

And he did have to look up the lyrics in a book he just happened to have with him. 😆

The comments come after Fortunate Son and before King of the Hill. If you have the version I treed on r.m.a.b-h / etree, it’s at the start of the King of the Hill track.

Participantred plains is a great one too. i have the daily dose of it from 2004 in york, pa though, great version…though that was 2 years ago now…when i see bruce this summer I’m gonna have my friends put in requests with me for: red plains, set me in motion, and long race. I know set me in motion won’t make it but, heck, i’d be fun to hear even a part.

“Down the Road Tonight”

“So Out”
“The Tango King”
“The Road Not Taken”Last year, I brought the words to “So Out” and “Till the Dreaming’s Done” to Biltmore. Maybe I’ll try again this year.

Shot down, sold out
Cast away on the
tumbled up, give up
i don’t want to face it out there alonedon’t try to comfort me, take me where they let you be
just carry me, carry me down
carry me down to heartbreak town
just carry me, carry me down
carry me down to heartbreak townblack sky, dead eye
wandering down where the fire glows
hard knocks, tear drops
hiding out where the sun don’t showcome take me by the hand, down to where they understand
just carry me, carry me down
carry me down to heartbreak town
just carry me, carry me down
carry me down to heartbreak towncarry me, carry me down
carry me down to heartbreak townbeen up all night, stairing out the skyline lights
turning over and all i remember, i never was right

Participant“Down The Road Tonight” — I guess I’ve been fortunate; seen him do this one twice.
“Swing Street” — As for this smokin’ lil’ numba, I’ve worked references into at least two requests, and ain’t got it. Oh well, there’s always the next time, right? 😆
