Biltmore packages including accomodations, dinner, breakfast, shuttle to and from the concert and tickets go on sale tomorrow Tuesday, May 23 at 8:00 AM! A great way to get tics before anyone! Get fired up!

How many of us already have tix to Biltmore for Aug. 11th this year? I will be there for the 5th time in 6 years (he did not play 2003). I can’t wait once again for this show. It seems to be one of the best if not the best show he does all year. This may be due to the location of the venue and the amount of fans there (3000). Waiting about 66 days. Please reply.

I just wanted to let anyone know that needs tix to Biltmore show that I have 2 extra tix. They are $100 (for both). This is actual tix price. I am just looking to sell them for a friend that has had a business trip come up and is not going to be able to make the show. Thought I would give true Bruce fans first shot at them.

Only 3 more weeks! I’m a telling ya! You don’t want to miss this! JV is working on his singing voice. The weather is going to be great. Biltmore is the only place I’ve seen Bruce do two encores. The Noisemakers love it here! It has all the makings of being concert of the year again! The Show Goes On!

Anyone ALSO going to the Sunday the 13th show in Charlotte? We decided to make a Bruce weekend of it. Or rather, I did and my husband is humoring me…

My husband and I are also going to make Aug. 11-13 a Bruce weekend (and we’re attending a wedding in Virginia on the 12th-whew!) Your husband and mine are cut from the same cloth. The conversation went something like this:
“We’re going to see Bruce in Asheville; you’ve seen him once already this year,isn’t that enough?”
Me: “Are you kidding? You can never see Bruce and the Noisemakers too many times.”

I like that! Virginia from Virginia! Glad you can make it to Biltmore! Your in for a treat! By chance are you guys staying at the Inn?
Miss Virginia Former is MIA. She always comes to Biltmore, but haven’t heard a vowel from her. Miss Virginia Former is a screen name someone uses based on a lyric on the Hot House Ball record. “There Mr. D.E. in the corner dancing with Miss Virginia Former”. Bruce acutally answered a post of mine about a year ago when I asked him who Mr. D.E. in the corner was. Check it out on his web site.
I wish I could make it to Charlotte, but Chastain, Biltmore, and Knoxville is all I can make this year. I’ve always wanted to see Bruce in Charlotte. Knoxville came up first and I booked that.
I hope to see ya at Biltmore! Let me know if you guys are staying at the Inn.

Hey David!
Unfortunately, we’re not staying at the Inn. We live about 3 hours away from Asheville,and the package price for the concert and accommodations is a little too rich for our blood. Plus, we’re self-employed,so it’s hard to get away,even for a day.(I know…excuses,excuses…) Even if we don’t run into each other on the 11th, it’s great to trade messages with someone who is as excited as I am about the show!

Thanks for your post! You’re right! It is expensive! I only do this once a year and I save all year to be able to do it. It’s worth it! I consider it a special ocassion and they do a great job at the Inn for concert goers. If it wasn’t for Bruuuce, I wouldn’t do it.
Hope to see you at the show! I’ll be easy to spot! I’ll be the one in his 50s (tall, dark & handsome!) yelling Bruuuuuuuuuce the whole show!

Can’t wait to meet you guys. We booked a package at the Doubletree so that’s where we’ll be that full weekend. But we might be able to meet you up at the Inn for a drink before the show if I can figure out how the logistics work on that! I haven’t been to the Biltmore since I was a kid and don’t think I’ve ever been to the Inn.
Should be fun. I bought the CD’s of last year’s Biltmore show so I’ve listened to it, but I’m glad I’ll be catching this one in person.
Are you staying for the weekend? I’ve heard that Bruce always has his food brought in from Tupelo Honey so I’m going to have to make sure to have a meal there sometime that weekend!

Request for ‘Bird Song’ at Biltmore!
As we all know that Bruce was a member of the Dead for quite some time, he often performs Dead songs at his shows. This Biltmore show is the first show after the anniversary of Jerry Garcia’s death (9 Aug/95).
The song Bird Song, written by Garcia and Hunter, was written as a tribute to Janis Joplin.
The first line of the song is, “All i know is something like a bird within her sang. . .”.
Phil Lesh now sings the line, “All i know is something like a bird within HIM sang. . .”, as a tribute to Jerry.
In honor of Jerry and one of the better written Dead songs, and with the Biltmore show being the first show after the anniversary of his death, let us hope Bruce gives us a Biltmore rendition of Bird Song, replacing the lyrics as Phil Lesh does in honor of Jerry.
Soooo, scribble Bird Song on a piece of paper and leave it at the piano’s feet as a request (as fans know, this is a common thing to do). Better yet, make an origami bird, or cut out the shape of a bird, or. . .anything. . .
Enough of us doing this will be very meaningful to Bruce. . .good fun-
