I really loved the October/November 98 Yoshi’s showswhere it was just Bruce on piano and Steve Kimock on guitar. Recently I’ve been digging the “Musings on a Ricky/Bruce selection” with Bruce and RS at the start of the 8/18/05 show. Anyone else have favorite spots in a show where it’s just Bruce and a guitar?

8-18-05? That’s Chattanooga. I didn’t know a recording existed. Where might it be found?

There are no circulating audience recordings that I know of. :(

But keep an eye on http://www.brucehornsbylive.com – I don’t know the specifics of the release date but a little birdie told me it’s coming. 8) Well worth buying when it comes out.

New LIVE dates available for download

    Eureka!

    7/31/05 – Salt Lake City
    8/18/05 – Chattanooga, TN
    9/2/05 – Gilford, NH

    Now available at http://www.brucehornsbylive.com.

I can’t speak for the other two dates, but Chattanooga is a great mix of solo and band, classic Bruce and new Bruce.

Unfortunately, the “Musings on a Ricky+Bruce number” with R.S. Hornsby seems to be missing — I guess they’re keeping it under wraps for now.

    Big Day

    The stars are finally aligning.

I bought the Chattanooga show CD (no downloads available yet) and I preordered the Intersections boxed set both in the same day.

    Pretty cool.

Actually, since they list Night on the Town as 14:30 it does include “Musings”, they just decided not to mark it as a distinct track. :D

9/13/04 is also a new release. 9/2/05 has been out for a while, but 7/29/05 Portland is another new one.

All 4 are complete to the best of my knowledge. 7/31/05 is nice too, a fairly uncommon Every Little Kiss and an interesting alternate take on Valley Road.

Thanks for the clarification, Will. You’re right, of course. :)
