I think this might be news. I apologize if this has already widely known to the bruuuce community, I haven’t been checking the page as much lately.
I was talking to Ricky Skaggs after his set at Baltimore’s Artscape on Friday. I asked him about the cd that he and Bruce had recorded and he said to expect it out early 2007 with a tour to back it up with both he and Bruce. Apparently, it was ready to go and then Sony heard it and decided they wanted to get behind it and so it’s been waiting for the right time or something like that.
By the way, Ricky is an incredibly nice man and very appreciative of his fans. Seconds after his set which was long and it was hot out, he was standing talking to fans, taking pictures, signing autographs… he didnt even have time to put down his mandolin. If you are curious in bluegrass, go pick up his live cd from a couple years ago. Ricky is great and he’s got a good new yet classic bluegrass sound.
