I heard a rumor that audio recording is not going to be allowed at the Biltmore Estate this year. Can anyone close to the band (or the Biltmore) confirm or deny this rumor? I don’t have my ticket in hand yet, but someone told me it says something to the effect of ‘no recording devices’ on the ticket itself.
I’ll be there regardless….but I’d like to tape!
I’d recommend contacting the venue directly. Oftentimes “no recording” ends up on the tickets as bolierplate but they won’t mind you taping a taping-friendly show. Sometimes not though.
Know anyone with some AT853s or DPA 4061s you can borrow?
The tickets for last years show said “recording not permitted”, or words to that effect, but there were a handful of audience recorders, so I think the folks at the Biltmore must’ve known Bruce doesn’t mind tapers.

I know the band is cool with taping…last couple years Bobby Hornsby has come by to check on the tapers and thank us for being there…Very cool fellow…
Hello all. I have taped all of Bruce’s performances at the Biltmore Estate except for the 1st year. Every year the tix says NO TAPING, etc. but there are always tapers there and it is not frowned upon to my knowledge. We have set up right near the front corner of the soundboard and they have never said anything. Hope that this helps. I will be bringing a Sony Mini-Disc in hopes of tapping into someone. Please be kind to other people. Hope to see ya there.
