so i dloaded this from dimeadozen. I was at the show and in fact wrote a review about it (Cary’s review). So, it’s funny, because listening to the recording of this show I find quite a few songs were quite good musically. A brief show, but when Bruce was on, he was on “Rainbow’s Cadillac” and “The Way It Is” and “Shadow Hand.” it’s weird for me, becuase i remember that night as an unpleasant one which it indeed was. funny how alexa ray joel made me not appreciate the fine bruce i was given at times that night…i hope 2007 is a better year for me and bruce concerts. anyone else listen to the recording of this show? thoughts?

I was at the Oyster Bay show and I feel like people focused on the disruption that caused Bruce to leave the stage in mid-song, rather than the music. The incident prompted an interesting discussion on this board.
I felt it was a good show overall and the Black Muddy River>Halcyon Days>Mandolin Rain number that ended the show was absolutely beautiful. I longed to hear more and wished Bruce and his band could have played on into the night. Maybe an earlier starting time would have been in order since Alexa Ray Joel had an extensive opening set?

I’m glad you took the time to re-visit Oyster Bay, Cary. The night had
some disappointments (length of Bruce’s set and a disruptive audience member) but Bruce and his band’s music wasn’t one of them.
