ParticipantI have been watching the word scrolls on the bottom of the screen but I didn’t see anything for the instrumental. Maybe I missed it. If anyone saw it and knows if you could post who the winner was that’d be awesome! Thanks!

ParticipantNVM I see he has not won. That’s too bad, way to go Bruce for the nomination however.
Dixie Chicks seemed to have stolen the show. I would have liked to see John Mayer win a few more awards…

ParticipantNope. It went to George Benson for “Mornin.”

Was I the only one who thought it was maddening to try to catch those little text scrolls at the bottom of the screen to see winners of the “minor” categories?!? Did they EVER show the winner in Bruce’s Pop Instrumental category on TV? I missed it if they did. 😡
Yet they televised the umpteenth rendition of Gnarles Barkley’s “Crazy,” (nothing against him, really) and they made a big show of Justin Timberlake. Apparently I’m not the only one unimpressed with Timberlake, a fellow Tennessean:
The Onion, “America’s Finest (satirical) News Source” (http://www.theonion.com), has a story titled, “Timberlake apathetically crowned King of Pop” because “recording industry executives and millions of fans are unable to think of anyone else to bestow the title upon.”
I think we could use a little less “spectacle” and a little more basic information. The show’s producers might be surprised by their viewership numbers if they dedicated even a brief segment to these “minor” categories!

ParticipantVic,
I too, was trying to keep up with those awards that were listed at the bottom of the screen. I did not see the entire show, but I ended up going to their website -grammy.com. The site had up to the minute information, so I learned there that Bruce did not win a grammy this year 😥 .Not that I’m biased , I was hoping Bruce would improve his Grammy “batting average” this year. “Song H” is currently receiving heavy play in my car stereo and I love that he plays it some during his solo shows. Grammy or no Grammy, congrats to Bruce for the nomination and a great addition to his excellent alphabet instrumentals!
I didn’t mind hearing Justin’s music since he’s currently a big part of pop radio right now, but I thought he had way too much airtime during the show. Why not show a musical collage of some of the “off air” winners receiving their awards with their winning music playing in the background?
