ParticipantI really want to thank you guys! All the new posts, thoughts and activity on the forum have been very stimulating. I feel like I’ve been the “lone ranger” on this forum for a long time, but that has changed!
I use to just “throw stuff out” sometimes just to see if someone would reply. I don’t have to do that anymore. You guys are sharp! It’s hard for me to keep up with some of you. It is very stimulating to me!
There has been times that I have poked fun at Victor or debated Victor knowing his journalistic skills would “eat my lunch” just to create some activity on this forum.
Lately, some of the posts have been outstanding! Musical State of the Union, Two Hand Independence, Sadness on the “Spirit Trail”, Favorite Hornsby Lyric, Has Bruce Peaked, to name a few, have some incredible thoughts! For some reason, I need that! Anyone else need that besides me?
: Keep it coming! You guys are great! ❗
There you have it. As Vic would say, that’s my “rant”. Hopefully it was a good rant!
Does anyone feel the same way?

Lake Lanier, GAPS My dog will sure be glad when I get off practicing two hand independence! When I start practicing, she goes upstairs and to the opposite side of the house! 😆 She really does! She doesn’t know talent when she hears it! A baby bruuuce in training! ❗ 😆

KeymasterYup, I’ll back that up – you guys have been great.
I asked you all what you wanted to change on the site, and “more interactivity!” was the loud cry. So I put some bells and whistles on this forum, and waited to see what would come to pass, outside of concert season.
You’ve certainly all kept the discussions lively, cordial, relevant and thought-provoking, and the days when I’ve not been able to update the site have been far from dead. Those days are likely to increase in regularity as I prepare for Daily Dose Day 3, and deal with a few physical challenges that limit my typing at present.
“Kudos” was a well chosen word when setting up a currency for this board, and you all deserve them in abundance! As you know, the owner of the most “kudos” further down the line will receive a prize, so please continue as you are, and we’ll all benefit!

ParticipantBut Si, baby, I’ve always been told its not how many kudos you have, its all in the way you use them, hmm??

ParticipantI’ve also enjoyed reading and responding to the current topics on the forum. It’s so great to be able to interact with people who don’t say, “Bruce who?” or “He was popular a long time ago, right?”, when I mention my favorite musician.
The topics I’ve really appreciated are “Favorite Hornsby Lyric” and “Two Hand Independence.” The second thread takes me back to the days in the high school concert band and music theory class. I’ve even found myself trying to tap sixteenths with my left hand and triplets with my right hand during my “down time” at work!

David,
Believe it or not,I play trombone. I was named “Best Girl Trombonist” four years in a row! 😆. I don’t play much these days; I prefer playing with a group of people and the old fashioned “town band” seems to be a thing of the past.Jackie

That would be hard to do on a trombone! Speaking of talent, two hand independence on a trombone! ❗

ParticipantDavid,
Yes two hand independence on a trombone would be quite difficult-I’m not that good
. Maybe James Pankow could pull it off…
Also, thanks for the compliment-I’m blushing and typing at the same time!
