Sorry for the spam, the upgrade bug has bit me. I can probably get more money for this on eBay, but I figured I’d offer it up here first, hopefully another Bruce fan/budding taper can get some use from this.
I am offering up for sale my Zoom H4 handy recorder. Lightly used, in the original box, with all accessories, the manual, and the warranty card. Plus, as a bonus, I’ll throw in a 2 GB SD card, so that in 16 bit mode you can record for 3 hrs 20 minutes full quality wav.
The Zoom offers built in mics, which are adequate when you need an absolutely minimalist setup, but also has XLR connections and can supply phantom power so you can use higher quality mics. I easily ran for 3+ hours while phantom powering mics using a pair of 2700 mAh rechargeable NiMH batteries.
I’m looking for $180 shipped in the US, add 3% for paypal. I can toss in 4 NiMH batteries and a charger for another $20.
This won’t offer the same quality as an external preamp and $$$ recorder, but I’ve been pretty happy with it. Here are a couple shows I’ve taped (with external mics — if the buyer wants some advice on mics I’m happy to chat about that):
