Rush’s latest studio release, Snakes & Arrows, is due in May. Great to see the guys back out there again. I heard their new single, “Far Cry.” In some ways, it picks up from where the stuff on Vapor Trails left off, maybe a little less noisy production. They also go back to the Hemispheres era in style a little bit. Check it out:

A North American tour is coming too. As with their last tour, Rush is choosing many outdoor venues. Even if you don’t consider yourself a Rush fan, a live Neil Peart drum solo is something not to be missed. And if you see them live, you just may become a fan instantly.

Hey, speaking of Rush….see the other non-Bruce post about Steely Dan…

I thought that this album was terrible!

And I know that this post is almost 3 years old, but it’s my first time seeing it. Pardon moi… 🙄

Well to each his/her own I guess. I thought producer Nick Raskulinecz really added a fresh dimension to the project. And I like that most of the music was written acoustically by the inspiration of David Gilmour. R30 however was a better tour than S&A IMO.

Wow. That was a quick response, Speedy….. 😯

I diss the “Snakes” as a former BIG Rush fan, now an ‘historical appreciator.’ So take it easy on me 😆

I saw the “Vapor Trails” tour at Manchester and enjoyed it thoroughly, as I did the album of the same name. I just wasn’t digging on S&A.

Don’t know just how big a fan you are of Geddy, Alex, and Neil, but some of my fondest concert memories are of their ‘spring training’ jaunts to FL, where I’m from. “The Fear Trilogy” dude, know what I’m sayin’?!
