OK, speculation time… I saw this article about the amphitheatre at Lake Matoaka, on the campus of William & Mary, in this morning’s paper. I remembered going to see a drama called “The Common Glory” there way back in the 70s, and going to a few college parties as well. Since then, they let it go into serious disrepair. A few years ago, there was talk of building a larger outdoor concert venue at this site, but common sense prevailed (something about “trafic hell”, I think) and it was restored as a more modern version of the old place. Given that this is a short walk from where he grew up (around the block and across the parking lot), and his wife is now on the college’s Board of Visitors, what do you think the odds are of Bruce doing at least a solo show at this 1,700-seat facility?
