ParticipantJust downloaded this and have only listened to Country Doctor so far, but WOW, Bruce is on fire!!! I know I put CD in my Top 10 at #3 but that version has moved to #1 as my favorite live version of a song ever! Thanks Bruce and Gang for an incredible early Christmas present!
David,
Make sure you get your hands on this! Talk about feeding a fix for the Noisemakers! This is definitely it!

Incredible timing I must say!
Do you think, just maybe….Nah! 😆
Check out Rainbow’s Cadillac!
There is something from Camp Meeting thrown in!
As a trivia question, what is it?

Participantfankoo!
Downloading now
– whilst this is great, I did have a look at the brucehornsbylive website – I personally think the downloads are too expensive – not hugely, but I would certainly be more inclined to download for $10.
Kind regards

Didn’t you hear that at Guiford? 😉 Or was that at Appalachian State? Or both?
What about Rainbow’s Cadillac? What song in Camp Meeting does Bruce throw in?
:
Jackie, as the Queen Bee and the King of the Hill of “name that tune”, you have disqualified yourself from that question. (I already know you know what it is.) 😉

Participant‘Straight, No Chaser’ is the track that appears in ‘Rainbow’s Cadillac’, and mighty fine it sounds too.
At the moment I’m loving ‘Standing on the Moon / Halcyon Days’. It’s a great finish to the “concert”.

Have you had your “daily dose” of Stacked Mary Possum today? 😆
There is one song on this track that sounds like Bruce’s rendition of Leon Russel.
We’ve talked about this before in another thread, but when I first heard it, I couldn’t help but think that this is Bruce’s imitation of Leon.
It is very good!
What song is it?

ParticipantSo it looks like the link to the mp3s is dead. Bruce’s gift was quite a big hit on the internet… I saw it mentioned on several sites.
Hey Bryan, do you know how many times it was downloaded? I hope Bruce has a good bandwidth plan.
December 15, 2007 at 8:05 pm #29453bryandunn
ParticipantHi all – my apologies, I’m working with the hosting company to get a bit more bandwidth (that is the problem, I’m at the limit of the bandwidth). This should be available again in the next 4 -6 hours. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
For those interested….this ‘took off’ much more than I dreamed.
Day 1 (12/7/07) @ 5:30PM EST – Bandwidth 20G
Day 2 – Bandwidth 45G
Day 3 – Bandwidth 36G
Day 4 – Bandwidth 63G
Day 5- Bandwidth 39G
Day 6 – Bandwidth 193G (this is the day I upped the hosting package to double the bandwidth – I saw trouble in the short term…)
Day 7 – Bandwidth 225G
Day 8 – Bandwidth (not the whole day) 374G (now I knew I was in trouble!)
Day 9 – working with the hosting company for a custom solution. Why? Because Bruce’s fans are tops! It should be available again soon…Don’t everyone pounce on me at once, it seemed pretty comfortable at first…but I just didn’t forecast well – sorry!December 15, 2007 at 9:32 pm #29454bryandunn
ParticipantHi all – the file is available for download again (please make sure you hit ‘refresh’ in your browser so you get the proper download link). Again, my apologies for the inconvenience.
😳

ParticipantGreat work, Bryan. Thank you for your efforts. Let’s hope it’s enough this time!

ParticipantLooks like Bryan is making a good impression around the webs

ParticipantWell, the press is nice, but … wow. What a response! I love our hosting company, the file was set up on a different server, but it was too much as a single file. So they split it and upped the connections allowable to the server. Fans are still maxing it out! I was kinda hoping that the initial rush would subside and it would be a steady amount of traffic that could be easier to manage on the server…and that will happen at some point. Until then…please be patient with the connection…with well over 500 folks trying to download at the same time it brings the server to a crawl.
December 16, 2007 at 12:53 pm #29458daverich
Participantwould there be any legal problem putting up as a bittorrent?
that would help things.
Kind regards

ParticipantOnce a torrent, always a torrent. Bruce really wants to share this with his fans, yet retain some semblance of ‘control’ over the effort (it may be offered on Munck at some point in the future). I understand that would help, but I’m thinking that we may just need to try to space out grabbing it to help the server out. The server actually has a cron job set against it to reset Apache every 15 minutes due to the amount of hits it is taking…amazing!

Just checked stats…and so far, we’re over 4Tb of data served up as of the last stat run…amazing…

ParticipantI was just listening to Circus on the Moon and realized something. I keep waiting for Bruce to hit his piano solo, but for some reason he never does. On the other hand, Bruce does something I’ve never heard him do before. At the end of the song, he does an “around the horn” thing with the Noisemakers. The progression is Bruce>JT>Doug>JV>Sonny>Bobby>Bruce.
They do that several times and each time makes it more difficult for the next to know when to jump in.Check it out! Anybody else hear that?
I can’t help but think what I heard Doug say one time. “Bruce loves to entertain the band as we play. Our job is to ‘watch Bruce’ because we never know what he is going to throw us.” I can see that here!

ParticipantThanks, Bryan. It is a very cool thing you have done for us. I d/l’d the whole thing without a hitch back on Friday, and have been enjoying it ever since.

Don’t Bruce and the Noisemakers go “around the horn” here also?
