I was starting to worry, though, that I’d have to engage in one of those filibusters that the US Senate is famous for…. and I don’t think David would’ve liked me reading the phone book unless he found some long lost relatives in the listings. I was debating between either that or a recitation of some of the less dramatic parts of Le Morte d’Arthur in original 15th-century English that Caxton published it in. Whew! You got back just in time to save them all. While you were gone, though, we took it upon ourselves to design concert fashions that made liberal use of your site name. I must admit, though, the idea wasn’t wholly original – I kinda nicked it from this old concert poster from 1996 (see attached pictures). I was running out of strange music lyric quotes, too, so I had to take a few days to recharge the batteries and get the polarization all out of whack

ParticipantGlad to have you back, Si. Looking forward to the build-up to DD4 now.
And speaking of Daily Doses; great choice to return with. Not heard this one before!

Delighted you’re back!

ParticipantAlthough I’m glad there will be no reading of the phone book, I’d kinda like to hear Rich read Le Morte d’Arthur in 15th century English!!! And I’ll sign up now for one of the “freak” shirts! Since the “Miss Virginia Former” hat didn’t work, I guess I really DO need something to identify myself.

I love those musical quotes! They give my brain a good workout.

I guess that proves that whatever is good for the goose is good for the gander? 😆

I guess that proves that whatever is good for the goose is good for the gander? 😆Good reference. I believe it was the esteemed Mr. Hornsby who once sang, “Just call your own fowl when you break the rules.” You deserve a hearty pate on the back for goosing things up as only you can 😆

-
“
I wyll wel said Arthur & rode fast after ye swerd & whan he cam home the lady & al were out to see the Ioustyng thenne was Arthur wroth & saide to hym self I will ryde to the chircheyard & take the swerd with me that stycketh in the stone for my broder sir Kay shal not be without a swerd this day so whan he cam to the chircheyard sir Arthur aliet & tayed his hors to the style & so he wente to the tent & found no knyetes there for they were atte Iustyng & so he handled the swerd by the handels and lietly & fiersly pulled it out of the stone & took his hors & rode his way vntyll he came to his broder sir Kay & delyuerd hym the swerd & as sone as sir Kay saw the swerd he wist wel it was the swerd of the stone & so he rode to his fader syr Ector & said sire loo here is the swerd of the stone wherfor I must be kyng of thys land“
You just have to imagine my voice as you read through this
Please be kind with the imaginary vocal rendering.
