This might give some idea of where I’ve been for the last while… health issues and other web work aside, I fell victim to the uglier side of the internet, and was (still am) on the wrong end of some pretty vitriolic abuse which the police are investigating.
What prompted it, I can only guess (and probably fail), but since I am so “out there” and accessible on the net, then it’s easy for a spiteful few to have some fun.
Anyway – I’ve been writing an article on some preventative measures that we can all take in communicating online, and especially with regard to social networking sites such as Facebook. When it’s done, I’ll post it up here and hopefully someone can benefit from it. I hope you’ll never need it!

Don’t know if it’s directly related to this, but if I type https://bruuuce.com into my browser (ie not going directly to the board, or to the new co.uk site) it redirects me to a site that tries to fool me into installing a trojan horse.

It should redirect straight to the .co.uk site (which is on the way out anyway, to make way for the .com site again).
I will look into that though, for sure.

I think it’s sorted, but if you get prompted to download software when you visit this site – please don’t.
I apologise for anyone affected by this – our “hosting company” is dealing with it. Do let me know if you downloaded anything, and I’ll send you the steps that you need to take to put it straight.
It’s now fixed, so you’re perfectly safe from now on.
