I’ve been listening to this show during the past couple of days and I noticed something interesting.
During The Way It Is, (around the 7:28 mark), Bruce changes the pattern he is playing. I don’t believe he plays this pattern earlier in the song. The interesting thing is that Sonny plays the exact pattern at the exact time Bruce begins playing it.
Am I mistaken about this? If not,how do they do that?
Has anyone else noticed something like this in other recordings?

without hearing it myself,- sometimes these things just happen.
I know in our band, sometimes the music takes everyone a certain way, you start hitting an accent ‘cos it feels right and coincidentally so does someone else – and yeah it sounds pretty neat when it happens.
Bruce may have nodded to sonny at that point and Sonny remembered hitting on an accent before and away they went.
It’s the beauty of having a tight close-knit band.
