I’ve got my DVR set for tonight! What does everybody think of “Levitate”? It has a feel like the “Swing Face” album… has anybody heard if the whole record will have a similar groove?
I’m saying nothing.
(ok I’m really really hoping the rest of the album is the noisemakers kicking that live vibe out,- but I’m too polite to say it here really

I’ve been listening to the blue note gig recordings from the daily dose week and man they are SMOKIN! – spider fingers really kicks it out and you can’t help but shake your butt to it. That’s where the juice is in my opinion..

Just watched it. Looked and sounded great.levitate does have a BSF feel to it. Its been a while since the last album so I’m ready for any thing!

Yeah jdbeck, it’s definitely a slick production job on it,- but i dunno,- does Bruce need to go on walkabout or something? spend a few months as a hippy travelling through mali maybe?
Mind you the same could be said of me recently,- the mojo ain’t a flowing….

So, I watched about half of the Kobe show, I guess… WAY too much basketball, LOL! I’m just not an NBA fan, I guess.
Not very much music at all in the first part of the film, that I heard. Just a little solo piano noodling here and there.
I’m with jdbeck, though, re: the new record… I’ve never been disappointed before, so I’m ready for anything! In fact, I remember how thrown I was by “Spirit Trail” when I first heard it… and, of course, now it’s my favorite record. So, what the heck do I know?
