I was just reading the Asbury Park Press article that was posted in another thread http://www.app.com/article/20090726/ENT/907260301/Bruce+Hornsby+does+it+all and tell me if this is old news, but I think I cracked the code in regards to the name of the Broadway show, SCKBSTD.
I always assumed it was an acronym, then I just realized it should be read like a vanity license plate. When you do, I believe it reads, Sick Bastard!! That you are Bruce
…the vanity license plate of a guy who has a girl with auburn curls stuffed between the spare tire and the jack, perhaps?
I’m sure Bruce mentioned in an interview some time ago that the musical is called “Sick Bastard” so when seeing SCKBSTD I immediately knew what it meant, although I read it more as txt spk than the US style of licence plate. Interesting that you thought of “Paperboy” being from the musical. I hadn’t considered this, but it would fit right in. That’s one strange, but brilliant song for sure!

It’s no wonder that people are trying extra hard to find jobs now…. it has taken me over three days to fill out all the f*****g paper work for unemployment insurance 😮

EDIT: Yeah, I went back to look at the poster in the link from the other thread, and it has starry skies and lights on the the windows. The SCKBSTD poster above seems to be a Photoshop work in progress.
