ParticipantAny advice for my first Bruce show? I’ve been a fan for years…have all the albums…just never been able to make it to a show before. I’m really excited…hoping the band jams it out. Does Bruce hang out at all after the show? It seems like a long shot, but I’d dig getting a pic with him. I’ve heard he takes requests…I’ve got a ton, but some artists seem to view it as “impolite”…that’s not the case with Bruce? Truthfully, I’ll be happy with anything that’s played…I’m just looking forward to an awesome show! Thanks ya’ll.

ParticipantWelcome, Craig. Here are a few things that might help…
– Bruce’s piano is always on the left hand side of the stage. So if you want the best view of Bruce you should keep that in mind when choosing seats.
– There are fan pics with Bruce all over this board and facebook. He is easily one of the most accessible “stars” out there. I don’t have any advice on how to go about getting a pic with Bruce, but others should have some good advice.
– Bruce takes written requests before the show. Get creative and write your request on paper and walk up and place it on the stage. One of Bruce’s guys comes out on stage about 15 minutes before the show and picks up all the requests and brings them back to Bruce. If Bruce is bantering with the audience, feel free to shout out a request too. Just be respectful about it.

KeymasterExcellent advice from Oscar.
Which show are you making it to, Craig?
If you have a song request – if it’s an older song, or a rarely played one, maybe write out the lyrics (you’ll find them on this site). If you’re not sure whether it’s rare or not, let us know what you’re thinking of and somebody will happily advise
Look for a small congregation after the show – likely where the tour bus is heading out of. That might be your best chance to get a photo.

ParticipantYou MUST give us a revIew of how you liked the show. Did Bruce dance on the piano?? Did you get to dance on stage? And most important of all, did you get to meet him? I’ve been to over 20 shows, and have had a chance to meet him every time. I’ve even been backstage a number of times. It’s gotten to the point that he actually recognizes me at each show. Not in that “Oh, God, there she is again, call security quick”……. YET. He actually remembers enough details to make you feel like you are old friends. The only thing is…he won’t shake hands with people. Too much of a liability for his priceless hands.
Again, hope you had blast and will “tell us every little deail!!!
