Pollstar is listing a date for Bruce Hornsby at Town Point Park (Harborfest) on Sat. June 9. Nothing on the official site or the Festevents site yet. Anyone else seen this? This would be a FREE SHOW!!!

Thanks for the response. I actually hadn’t checked the official site in a couple of days when I made the above post, so thanks for brining me up to date. The Tidewater area is certainly getting more than it’s fair share of BH. 3 shows in less than 10 months!

I’ve noted that he has more “guests” onstage, and more of the family in the audience when he is in Tidewater.
The Tidewater area treats Bruce well. He was asked to “open” the new Norfolk Opera House, as well as the massive Virginia Beach Amphitheater (BTW, I grew up and lived a majority of my life about three miles from the amphitheater).
In fact, if memory serves me, the city of Norfolk honored him with his own “star” on the Walk of Local Fame in front of Waterside Festival Park.
I’ve seen about 20 Bruce concerts in Tidewater, Williamsburg, and Richmond over the years. These concerts do have more of a laid back, off the cuff sound.
Hmmmmmm…..seems I’m due back in Virginia Beach soon to help the ‘rents muck out the attic in anticipation of moving to the old folks farm. Bet I can jimmy it around to show up near June 9……..

Seems to me, this would finally be a good time for north finally meets south type of show??!! What a “meet-up” that would be!!! If so…..Drinks would be on me!

Lake Lanier, GAI dunno…… seems like the last time North met South, the South didn’t come out of it too well. In fact, some of my relatives are still trying to forget it……..
…….but, if drinks are on you, Dreadlock Dave, then it might just be worth the risk!!!!!! 😆

Seems to me, those north of the Mason-Dixon needs to get “fired up” for this one!
Just think about it….We could all drink “mint julips” “underneath the magnolia”, with all the “cherrping mosqutioes” that have teeth,(all greatly misspelled), and have a grand time!
Seems like a fun time to me!!!
