KeymasterIt’s been three years since we changed things up, and I wanted to make the site more easily navigatable, if that’s a word. Improvements (well, I hope they’re for the better!) include:
- return of the Daily Dose
- another live concert for download (and they’re easier to find!)
- an archive of previous Daily Doses
- an archive of featured articles over the years
- much-improved presentation
and more besides. Take a look around, there’s bound to be something you hadn’t seen before!
I hope you like it. Please let me know if there’s anything you want to see more (or less!) of.
Thank you,
– Si.

ParticipantJust wanna say the Daily Doses have been tremendous so far. I’m getting a bunch of new live stuff that I’ve never heard played live before – These Arms of Mine, Pastures of Plenty. Although I previously had one live recording of Swing Street, I was ecstatic to see that posted as well. Songs I wish Bruce played more often today. Keep ’em coming Si!

KeymasterGood to hear – feel free to make requests also!

ParticipantI’ll take you up on your offer, Si.
1) If you somehow have a full band version of Night On The Town from any show starting from 1998 to present day. Pretty much looking to hear a non Range version of the song. Ideally Noisemakers, but I’m sure that’s near impossible as I think they’ve only played it a few times.
2) Any semi-obscure to obscure song from the 1998-2000ish period. Basically I’m very interested to hear more of the sound/style that’s on “Here Come The Noisemakers”, but obviously not a song that’s already on that album.
Anything would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

I guess any song that’s not on that album will be fine, but the more rare the better
3) A live recording of King Harvest. I see 7 shows in 2006 where they played King Harvest. For each one they went from Sunflower Cat > King Harvest. I’d be very interested to hear that. If you could dig that up it would be awesome!Anything would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
EDIT: Think I found something! Night On The Town played at the Gathering of the Vibes in 2001. However, the download doesn’t seem to be starting for me. Any chance you can download it Si?

KeymasterWow… thanks for the challenges!
I thought number 1 would be easy. It wasn’t! The show that you mention includes a solo NOTT, so I had to go back to 1996, which is just outside of your target. I hadn’t realised how rarely that song is played with the band!
I’ll get thinking on the others – the first one is up!

Hearing this Night On The Town from 1996 makes me question why Bruce doesn’t play is more today. Such an awesome groove! Thanks so much for getting that up.

KeymasterAgreed – I love that version.
I’ve had a bash at your second challenge – a rare song from 1999-2000 performed by the band. I’ve gone for “Down the Road Tonight”, but that was challenging enough to look for some more. It’s up as March 30’s Dose, anyway!
