Not sure if anyone else will find this interesting, but I came across an album called The Cities Sampler:Rarities that features an alternate studio version of Passing Through – this time with piano and a different intro (among other changes).
It looks like the album has been out of print for over 20 years, so it may be hard to locate. I’ll try to attach a short sample of the track this post. Hope it works!
