ParticipantI check all the time and rarely see action. Up until last year there where quite a few regulars that were here daily for years.
What happened…did they start listening to something else.
I miss everyone:sorry:November 19, 2015 at 5:37 am #34326goaves

ParticipantHey Jeff glad you still swing through here. There are some ’15 recordings out there. LosslessLegs had some but don’t think theyre still there.
I’m hoping for more sbd releases from ’00-’05…my favorite years.November 24, 2015 at 3:06 pm #34328JF1

What are sbd releases? Would love to get my hands on more shows from that time period as well. Specifically 2004 and 2005 I think had some of the best shows imaginable.

Facebook to me is for teenyboppers and bored house wives.
Just can’t do it…did it in ’05 for a minute but then it blew up.Yes Bruce 86-05!!!
I love popping in a Range show. The pop sound they had is awesome and it’s so great every time I hear The Old Playground, I get mad that I wasn’t older when that stuff came out. I wish I could’ve seen the Range, you old farts out there are lucky. Bruce had such a different sound and it worked and amazingly he got even better by going the jazzy/jammy route. Unfortunately there is limited recordings of Range stuff so when I do stumble across something new I get pretty damn stoked.Flash forward to 99-05 these are my favorite years of Bruce. The band was tight and the jams were loose. The set list were great and he played a lot of great material that has since been shelved ex: Passing Through, Harbor Lights, and Sunlight Moon.
Also, the stuff that was new at that time was really good and he played more requests at this time.
If I had to pick just one single year as my all time fav…it would be 2002…both RS and Steve Kimock guested many shows during ’02 and those shows were magic. The jams were on fire. Again great song choices.
Bruce’s voice just keeps getting better over the years and he can still get it up there pretty high.December 2, 2015 at 3:34 pm #34332JF1

For me 2002 was top notch a lot of magic happened especially with RS.Oh wow! I hadn’t come across that munckmusic link before. I have all the shows from Bruce Hornsby Live.
Do you know who owns munckmusic? Is it officially affiliated with Bruce? Definitely going to start buying some shows. Any recommendations? Are they all soundboard quality?
December 2, 2015 at 3:44 pm #34333GuinnessGoon
ParticipantYes they are all soundboards…hurry up though because they will supposedly be shutting down the Bruce shows as its a small company that mostly focuses on the Allman Brothers Band and will probably let the Bruce site fall by the wayside as they just started a new site for Allman Bros.
This is the reason for the addition of Bruce to livedownloads site because munck was to be focusing mainly on ABB.December 2, 2015 at 5:13 pm #34334A.J.
ParticipantLove the days of Bruce “All Request Sets”… he did them all the time back then. ” If you dont’ like it, suck it up because you picked it” – A standard Bruce line

My personal favorites and recommendations are:
7/20/05 HOB
7/25/02 Cohasset
7/24/02 Westbury
11/5/04 Orpheum
8/9/08 Buffalo
The set lists are great along with some stellar playing. Check them out.December 3, 2015 at 4:08 pm #34337HDbahn
ParticipantStiil here, only watching FB to see where people might be. I’d add the 7/29/02 Wolftrap (making a very cool one note intro theme) and the 11/22/04 Eugene (also showing my Harbor Lights faves). 7/21/02 Kalamazoo and 12/6/04 Madison both open up with Place Under the Sun (So much livelier than the studio version, but you need a prompter to recall all the lyrics). I edited my munckmusic library so I can’t rank all the shows (but I’ll always know “pantsy faints as fair” from SLC among Bruce’s many lyrical slips in Dead covers), I don’t know if Bruce will show up at the Pre-Jam, but we’re almost to Warren Haynes Xmas charity event again, and it will be streamed live 12-11-15 on WNCW.org from the Orange Peel in Asheville without you standing in a crowd of 2,000 packed on the floor. Rebroadcast on New Years Eve in case you nod off before the end (I generally sleep listen since It probably goes well past 1AM and I’m not clever enough to have a recording solution) Oh, I see Si has a link on the homepage (darn you little netbook monitor, how does anyone survive on a smartphone) …but I expected the show started at 8-9PM, and the Peel doesn’t even list the show on the calendar since tickets are distributed to the most generous donors to WNCW (and perhaps Habitat)

Great choices! I was trying to remember shows off the top of my head but yeah I forgot about Wolf Trap and that Eugene has a stellar Harbor Lights love that one too.
Thanks for the heads up on the stream.December 28, 2015 at 2:28 pm #47240JF1
ParticipantYou’ve got to be kidding me! I just went to that Munckmusic.com link to treat myself to some shows and the link is now broken. Noooo!

KeymasterThe site is up for me, but I don’t see any Bruce on it.
December 28, 2015 at 2:47 pm #47242GuinnessGoon
ParticipantTry contacting them…they just redid their site as theyre just focusing on Allman Bros Band for some reason, but they might still have access to the Bruce vault. Good luck though because they’re horrible with customer service.

ParticipantMunckmusic.com still works but the link GuinnessGoon posted above to the specific Bruce Hornsby page is broken.
I sent them an email, but I also tried to get creative and am currently accessing the site through the way back machine. The site appears to be functional; I might try and purchase a show for the heck of it and see if it actually works. I’ll report back!
