I was at the Bruce Hornsby show at the Minnesota Zoo, and I must say was one of the best shows I’ve seen (and I go to a lot of concerts).

Sound check was running a little late, as I got there at 7 and they were still checking (you could here Bruce singing). Apparently they got a new monitor board, and had just gotten in that day.

The concert sounded amazing, and while I only knew a few of his commercial hits songs such as “The Way It Is” and “End of the Innocence” (or as he put it, the first two losses to becoming a 9 time Grammy loser). Standing on the Moon was an excellent closer.

I was going because A) I like seeing concerts there, B) it’s Bruce Hornsby and C) I was going to bootleg it. I did not get home until 5:30, and by the time I updated my recorder, and got everything ready to go – I had about 20 minutes left. I was a it nervous and was going to scope the venue first, to see if I could find any other tapers. Unfortunately, I heard they turned a taper away at the door, and today found out he no longer allows taping. I would have had a very excellent recording of it had I recorded it (or been allowed to). That was a bit of a bummer, but worst things could and can happen.

If anybody there was able to compile a set list, please post it.
