ParticipantPollstar.com lists shows in Atlanta and Asheville 7/24-7/25. Any more info with these? Also, anyone know what The Garage at Biltmore is? Atlanta Botanical Gardens is the venue listed for the Atlanta date.
March 6, 2009 at 7:45 pm #30272mary
ParticipantI looked up the ‘Garage at Biltmore’ because I was curious as well and attached the link for you. I’m still holding out for the actual Biltmore as I’ve always wanted to see Bruce there.
March 6, 2009 at 7:48 pm #30273molomolomolo
ParticipantThanks, Mary! After posting earlier I went and looked it up. Looks like a mighty small space–about 300 people! I was hoping for a show at the Estate as well, but this could be very interesting indeed.
March 6, 2009 at 8:03 pm #30274mary
ParticipantI know with a crowd max of 300, how much more intimate could you get??? unless of course Bruce is performing in your living room!!
March 8, 2009 at 3:40 am #30275David Day
ParticipantThis is “here say”, but I’ve been told that Bruce at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens is “probable”. The Botanical Gardens is part of Piedmont Park “close to the edge” of Atlanta skyline. They only have 2 or 3 shows each year. Outside of course, in a wonderful venue! It would be a “solo” show, but you don’t want to miss it! Like I said, this is “here say”. Only Bryan knows for sure. I think Bryan is “holding back” on this one, but for a good reason. So…..Just stayed tuned!
Mary, you need to come out for this one! I will buy you dinner. Is that a date? We could make Vic really jealous and I would introduce you to NeNe!
Mary, molo, Carey, Kat, Larry, and anyone else, you are more than welcome to stay at Days’ End on beautiful Lake Lanier. You would be welcome! I’ll leave the light on for you!
I’ve been to many solo shows, but if this true, and it is “here say”, this would be one of the best venues ever for a Bruce “solo” show!
No doubt about it!
That’s my story and I’m stickin to it! 😆

ParticipantHey David
At first I thought you were telling us to stay at a hotel and I’m thinking, where’s that southern hospitality??!!! haThen I re-read it again. And here I was ready to give you some crap. 😆 How kind of you to offer your place to all of us for a “sleep over.” The one and only time I saw Bruce solo (the other many times have been with the band or with Ricky) was here in Colorado in Beaver Creek, up in the mtns, and I have to say it was mouth-dropping. I had front row center seats and was in heaven. Also, that was the first time I met Bruce so talk about melt-down. I probably looked like this 😯 to Bruce…deer in the headlights-look. Hell, I still look like that every time I get to see Bruce.
Bruce has to remind me to pick up my chin as the drooling is rather noticable.
I guess I need to move on up to the east side (Jefferson’s show – shows my age) and get cable because unlike you and Vic, I have no idea who this NeNe person is on the housewives show. So I guess you both are one up on me. Dammit.
Sure it’s a date for dinner should I make it down there. Just as long as it’s not Chinese or bbq crap.

ParticipantI just heard through a “grapevine” that the pollstar is incorrect. Molo and everyone else, it is at the actual Biltmore and not the garage place. After looking at the garage place, I thought it was a rather strange place for Bruce to perform but what do I know.
I am so stoked as it’s been a dream of mine for years to see Bruce and band perform there!!!! I’m definitely an “in” for traveling from Colorado to go see them!! It would be wonderful to be able to meet some of you Bruce fans that plan to also attend. Put a face with a name.
Pollstar will supposedly be making the correction.

I knew Bryan was “holding back”! 😆 A little trivia…..Bryan went to GA Tech only about a mile from the Botancial Gardens.
You don’t want to miss this! You really don’t. This will rank up there with the Biltmore for an outdoor venue with the Noisemakers!
It really will ❗
I have an idea! 💡
Why not do both
: Do both Botanical Gardens and Biltmore!
Road Scholars start your engines! 😆

ParticipantMary,
I’ll have my thumb out as you pass through (over?) the Springs on your way to Dixie!
Byran,
It’s about time you posted the Rocky Mountain stretch of the Oh-Nine tour… don’t hold back on me!

ParticipantAnd I’ll honk and wave nicely as I drive past your dupa (butt in Polish) going 80. 😆
I love the name of “Oh-nine” tour. Very clever, Vic.
Perhaps we (David, you and I) can all get together and tackle Bryan to get the info out of him. I’m up for it.

ParticipantThis is fantastic news!
The wifey and I already have a Biltmore trip planned for mid-May but I think we’ll try to do the ATL show. That’s my birthday, too, and would be wifey’s first Noisemakers show. She was prego with our twins at her first Bruce show, a solo affair here in Louisville, so this would be a very special night.
I’m down with that!

ParticipantThanks for the great news, mary and bryan!
To borrow a phrase from David, I’m “fired up” already!
But mary, better keep that bbq opinion quiet-at least while you’re in Asheville, NC. North Carolina devotes entire weeks to the celebration of barbeque! 😆 😆 -strange but true… Since tobacco has fallen out of favor(for good reasons), it’s almost all we have left.

ParticipantJackie…..What Mary doesn’t understand yet is that…..”bbq” “SMP” is the way we do things down here! 😆
Take it easy on her! She’ll come around! She’ll be a “convert” once she comes! 😆
You just bring your peach cobbler!
