This was a great show despite the show talker near me…that chatty bastard just kept going on all night despite my mad mugging him at times.

Highlights for me were A River Runs Low, Every Little Kiss, and Western Skyline.

Damn, they must not have cancelled music appreciation at your school. I still ignore all the neo-classicism when I think of all the other things that he could be doing. I also haven’t a clue after listening to what little Keith Jarrett I could sample on amazon, as to what is the Sun Bear theme I’ve seen on other setlists. I will spare you the splinters under your fingernails, but when I hear the lyrics for “Down With That” I have to give a little credit. Of course Sunflower Cat just taunts me that I’ll not be hearing “I Know You Rider”, also requested earlier that week with “Across The River” by someone I met (and I did the same once) . My streak was gone in Northfield, but after doubling my request (with a found-on the sidewalk bit of “Tide to go”) for “Place Under The Sun” They actually learned it anew for the River City show (and surprised me with a very album-like “the Changes” in Columbia as well). I was humbled by the effort, but have to admit PUtS wasn’t as hot as the recordings I have. I guess it’s more than ever like a dog chasing the mail truck…I’m not sure what I’ll do if I catch it but I keep running. Now if we ever hear China Doll with something by the Rhythm Aces my plan is working!
