7/13/2007 Bruce and Ricky on GMA in Raleigh

Got to Raleigh about 6:30 AM, Bruce And Ricky and Kentucky Thunder were fooling around on stage doing sound checks. Good God, Ricky has lost a lot of weight!!!!! They played “Sheep Shell Corn” and “Pig in a Pen”. Also did a religious song that was beautiful, but I don’t know the name of it. FINALLY, at about 8:40, they got to play for real, They did “Dreaded Spoon”, and then Hannah Storm made Bruce explain the story of DS. Also asked how he and Ricky got together. He said, “I only play with legends” 😆 Then they played “Mandolin Rain” and “The Way It Is”. Bruce and Ricky hung around for a long time afterwards chatting and signing autographs (who had the record album for “The Way It Is”???????). Got my MVF hat signed by both while they were onstage. Bruce even passed the hat around to the other band members and explained who “MVF is and where its from. Talked to Bruce about the possibility of dancing on stage (hey, I can dream). Also talked about the tie dye sundress I was wearing, and how many deadheads I had to mug to get it 😉
