ParticipantI thought I had it all covered but I missed the Straight, No Chaser segment of Rainbow’s Cadillac…I don’t feel so bad though because you missed the Who Knows tease towards the end of the same song.
Thanks for the setlist!

Participantawesome show. So was the Flecktones’ set. Or “Freaktones”
Haven’t seen Bruce here since 2005 – another stellar show. And haven’t seen Bruce at all since Warren’s Christmas Jam in 2007… wow
Bruce loves playing here. Really appreciate the Dark Star tease. Shadow Hand was the highlight of the show for me (duh). Also awesome to see Little Maggie(>Birdland>Little Maggie no less!)! Just a fun fun time. Too many drunks for my taste, but then again, it is Asheville, at the Biltmore. See you next time Bruce, bring Bela back!

I abbsolutely love Victor Wooten. Bela’s opening set was sweet. My 2nd time catching him, but seeing him up there with the Wooten brothers, and Howard Levy being back was a real treat. What I particularly liked about this group is everyone gets a full solo & always has a smile on their face – except during solos of course. Casey Driessen holding the fiddle down as local talent :clap
They played some new stuff, some old stuff and a couple of the new ones written specifically for Asheville (Gravity Ln & Wolf Laurel). Bruce on the keys with Howard was cool (2nd song of set).

Bruce brings his son Keith out (enrolled at UNCA) with his coach and one other (team mate?) and announces he’s gonna sing the National Anthem (tonight I think?) at the UNCA vs UNC basketball game. I’ve heard tickets were pricey or I’d consider it. Free local music at the Orange Peel just sounds more like me. Anyway – then he brings up his old pal Rick Carlisle (a coach of NBA champs if you don’t know, like I didn’t even have a clue Dallas won) to play on the keys; and Bruce, Rick & Howard all three played on the piano – it was cool. Hence the photo of Carlisle

Kinda sad really. I’m no prude…I personally don’t care what anyone ingests into their own body but if you are gonna do it, at least be able to handle it.

The UNC @ UNCA game where Bruce and Sonny will perform the National Anthem is on November 13th.

Participantcool thanks for the info about the Head and Assistant coaches. November 13th eh? Are the tickets pricey?
Should we expect a Nov show?
