A little off topic here but I have plenty of Bruce to offer in return.
Anyone out there know where I can get a copy of Reconstruction (old Jerry band) 3/21/79?

Hey Will, that was actually my first Reconstruction recording. Although, when I first received it from a friend it was labled JGB. It wasn’t until two or three years ago when I downloaded it from Furthur that I noticed that it was already in my collection but mislabled. So far, I can’t find my tape, but I’ll look around throughout my discs in my collection. It might even still be on Furthur.

Thanks for the tip on 3/30, but this is a birthday present for someone born on that exact day, so I really need 3/21. Of course, I could always label 3/30 as 3/21 but that would wipe out my taper karma I’m sure. 😈
Oh yeah man, I know what date you want. I checked 45 of my 50 disc spindles of my shows from the 70’s and have not come accrossed it yet. I have the cassette but it isn’t worth copying from. I have many more spindles I can rummage through when I get back in town from being on the road with Ratdog. I will keep looking for you and let you know when I find it. In the mean time keep checking furthur because that is where I got mine.

A copy of the casette (or loan of the “master”) would be better than nothing though, if you can swing that, I have a few audio restoration tools that might be able to do something with it. If you can get a copy of the casette on disc, it would be great if you included 2-3 seconds of just tape hiss from the lead out or something.

Wow, its been awhile since I’ve been here. Sorry Will, I can’t help you out. I can’t find hardly any of my Reconstruction shows from that year for some reason. The sh!tty version I had on tape got the Phish hour(a show called ‘Ticket Stub in your hand’ like the Dead hour, played on a college station here in Cleveland) taped over it a few years back. I just found that out about a month ago. I found the tape and popped it in and heard an old Phish show I taped from the Phish hour. A really dumb thing to do now that I know someone could have restored it to some level.
