I’d actually given serious thought to closing it [http://www.bruuuce.co.uk] down, just due to a lack of time and funds… but I have a sneaking suspicion that it could be back with a vengeance before the end of the month! I just needed a breather from the internet in general and had to look after my health also. I have kept those posted who have been kind enough to ask. So if you’re looking for an ambiguous answer, I am still alive, and so is Bruuuce.com!Lola

I am once again ready to hit you with all things Hornsby, albeit at a reduced rate since last time… the Daily Doses reamin retired, for now, which I think is appropriate considering the current taping policy… not to mention a ton of other projects that I have on my plate.
I’ll go into a little more detail than I have on the main site, for those who are interested: for the last few years I’ve been hampered by neck problems, which cause the most bizarre of side effects. Who’d have thought that a damaged nerve would cause fingers or feet to swell, for example?! It’ll pass with an op, and it’s not too painful now that I’ve learnt how to manage it.
I’ve also been busy since May with running and designing other websites – and learnt a valuable lesson: think before you give your REAL name out to anybody! One of those websites is football-related, and in setting it up, I made myself a target for a brainless few. Long story short – one wiped bank account and somebody determined enough to find my home number, and I really didn’t want to go near the internet for a while!
I never learn, though, so currently I’m managing a pretty high-profile charity project involving some celebrity types here in the UK. I’ve got a few ex-footballers (REAL football, this is
) together for a venture to be revealed soon, and got some other media sorts available that’ll mean little to people outside of Britain (try googling Jimmy Savile or George Galloway!)Anyway, that’s a longer answer than I intended, but suffice to say – i still have plenty in store for Bruuuce.com, with some of it coming soon!
Glad to have you back, Si! Sorry to hear about your ailments but hopeful everything can and will be taken care of for you with that. As far as football goes, you mean to tell me that there are people who get so wrapped up in their sports that they make threatening phone calls? Glad we don’t have that kind of thing over here! 😯 Seriously, I hope that has all been resolved for you as well.
I will say I got to spend a lot of time with some of your fellow citizens last week at the Ryder Cup here in Louisville and they were really a great group of people. They definitely showed us a thing or two when it came to coordinating a cheer, but we got the last laugh on Sunday! 😆
