Amazing how well the timing worked out (wink wink)….Anyway, all the talk on this blog has me psyched for a great day of music. Anything special an out-of-towner should know about the Bay Days?YES!
You must meet “The Left Overs” after the show!

David can be as buttoned-down as the next guy…when he needs to be. We’re all just tickled that he doesn’t show that “buttoned-down” side on this venue very often.“Buttoned-down?” Now, nowbody has ever called me that before! 😆 Should that be “fighten words”? 😆 Maybe, just maybe, you need to come to Bay Days and find out for yourself!

I have an idea! 💡
Why not make the Taphouse the “Bruuuce Bay Days Watering Hole” for all occasions?
Come on Saturday night for the meet-up, Sunday before the show and the meet-after for “The Left Overs” after the show! How does that sound for a plan?
That way, all Bruceheads, Bruuucies, Hornies, Road Scholars, Road Warriors and “The Left Overs” will know where to go without confusion! 😆

ParticipantIt looks like a real possibility that I’ll be heading to Bay Days from Louisville, KY. I’m looking at a 9 hour drive straight across 64E, so I’m issuing an offer to pick up as many as two other folks who would like to tag along and help defray the cost of driving and lodging. All I ask is that you would be reasonably close to 64 (within 30 minutes is reasonable I think) and be willing to split the gas from your place to Hampton and back to your place. I have a small car (Chevy Aveo) but it is really great on gas, so it shouldn’t cost too much really. If I can’t find anyone to tagalong with me then I will not have too many options when it comes to lodging.
Try to let me know by August 29th so we can work out arrangements.

Lake Lanier, GAI like David’s idea. Whether or not The Taphouse is jam-packed and we can’t get in, we should at least attempt to meet there. I’ll give the Taphouse folks a call and see if they can hook us up, although during Bay Days weekend, I’m not so sure how flexible they’ll be. What’s a good time to meet on Saturday? 7:00? 8:00?

ParticipantI’m liking the earlier time, and folks can come in as needed. Of course, I turn into a pumpkin around 9pm, so I’ll be leaving early as well…

ParticipantLooks like I need to try to be there sometime Saturday night then. Not sure how much fun I’ll be after the long drive, but a few “long tall cool ones” ought to cheer me up. Now, off to Google The Taphouse… 😆

ParticipantGuys, you’ll have to raise a pint for me. I won’t be able to make anything before or after. But I plan to be there for both shows, so be on the watch-out for me…… and raise another pint in my honor!

BiBs, Sibs and FoBiG[Fans of Bruce, in General],
Pittsburgh Fan Club [Pissant Chapter] is in a dither working out the details for ‘the long sojourn’ to Hampton. With an upcoming, three- week trip to the Netherlands, Germany and maybe the UK, we may have to pass on the Hampton Fest, the accompanying Love-in, and beer/ale tastings… all sounding too good to pass up… and ‘Third World’ on Saturday for Jah Love…
For the ‘Hornies’ out there, here’s a tag line for your tee-shirts…Me So Hornsby, Baby…
Have at it, Kids!

ParticipantHey, Guys, I’ve had a brainstorm of sorts….okay, maybe a flurry…. shut up, David……
Anyway, my OTHER career (since teachin’ don’t pay) is beading jewelry. I was playing around with some alphabet beads today, and came up with a little seed-bead bracelet that says “Me So Hornsby”. I also made one that says “Bruuuce.com”. I thought they were kinda cute, and so wondered if anybody else going to Bay Days would be interested. Mine are made with turquoise beads, but I could take orders for any color or combination of colors (like college colors) you like. I’d have to charge a couple of bucks to cover materials — but I would NEVER profit off my SiBs and BiBs. So let me know if this is something you might be interested in, or should I take my one-of-a-kind Bruuuce jewelry and go jump in the lake?????
