I’m soo glad you finally had a “brainstorm”! 😆 It’s about time! 😆
On the other hand, make mine red and black. DAWG colors!
Look forward to seeing ya!
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again 😆 …..Could you see me and MVF staying under the same roof? 😯 Now that would be a cat and DAWG fight! 😆 😆 😆

Participantanother top-shelf idea. I’m not much of a bling guy, but would spring for one of the Bruuuce.com one’s for Si and Missy. Make them Carolina Blue and white (not that I like NC, I’d rather have the Georgia Tech colors myself) since that’s your home state. And, I get to give them away…after washing my hands and clothes in the event those colors rub off somehow! I love rivalries…
BTW – is Jonathan or someone who will be there from England willing to take this stuff back to Si? If not, I think I can get a shipping address…but like the idea of the personal delivery.

ParticipantMVF wrote:Hey, Guys, I’ve had a brainstorm of sorts….okay, maybe a flurry…. shut up, David……Anyway, my OTHER career (since teachin’ don’t pay) is beading jewelry. I was playing around with some alphabet beads today, and came up with a little seed-bead bracelet that says “Me So Hornsby”. I also made one that says “Bruuuce.com”. I thought they were kinda cute, and so wondered if anybody else going to Bay Days would be interested. Mine are made with turquoise beads, but I could take orders for any color or combination of colors (like college colors) you like. I’d have to charge a couple of bucks to cover materials — but I would NEVER profit off my SiBs and BiBs. So let me know if this is something you might be interested in, or should I take my one-of-a-kind Bruuuce jewelry and go jump in the lake?????
I think it’s an amazingly wonderful idea!

You wonder how it happened,
They just picked it up from dad! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! 😆 😆 😆

ParticipantThe weather forecast is scaring me. Last night, speculation had it (from several local tv station weatherpeople) that the eventual remnants of TS Hannah might bring us rain from Midday Saturday through all of Sunday. Another forecast I heard had the rain being here Friday through Saturday morning. I’ll guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

ParticipantI’ll be watching the weather closely to see what happens. I guess the concerts are rain or shine unless it becomes too severe. I’d hate to drive 9 hours just to sit in the rain. Just don’t tell Bruce about my fairweatheredness…

Participant“It was bad to worse, as the landlord cursed,
And the water tank in the backyard burst.
We were slippin’ and a slidin’, and killin’ thirst,
And we couldn’t see a soul doing it in the dirt.Oh, what a time!
Everybody was praising, raising.
Oh, what a time!
It was a time to be amazing.
Time to lose all reason or rhyme…
What a time!”Personally, I think a little rain will just make things interesting.

As far as “leading some ole dawg around on a rope”, surely you mean DAWG and not “dawg”! 😆 😆 😆 I know, it’s soo confusing! 😆 😆 😆
On the other hand, maybe I like being lead around in a “DAWG” collar! 😆 😆 😆

ParticipantI noticed one of Rich’s posts talked about “Gold Row” seating for the concerts for $5… It looks like you get to sit in a chair (booo) right in front of the stage (cool) and there is a special “refreshments” section for the gold row (cool). I don’t know how early you’d have to get to the show on sunday to nab one of these coveted passes… what do you think?

ParticipantHumm…not sure if Rich knows something I don’t. Bay Days is a free event, first come, first stationed. Don’t even think there will be chairs, more of the outdoor setting for sure in the midst of the city.
September 4, 2008 at 12:03 pm #29927MVF
ParticipantI went to the Bay Days site. There is a thing called Gold Row Seating. It’s $5.00 each, first come, first served. Maybe I read it in that article that was posted. They did mention VIP beverages, though. 😉 Maybe whoever gets there first should buy up as many as is allowed.

ParticipantRats…that means I’ll have to walk around to see everyone! So much for my weight stay-on program…I may burn a few calories.

Participantwell i’m typing this on the hotel computer in hampton!!
I’ll zip you linzis mobile number dave, (if it’ll work here,- I’m not sure whether you’ll need to use the country code or something).
The weather forcast is indeed looking iffy,- but they do seem to indicate it’ll be *ok* on sunday,- so fingers crossed.
We’ll definately be up for some gold seats if anyone gets there before us.
See some of you on sunday,- if not before (and yeah rich, the taphouse is great,- although their ale is fizzy!???)
Kind regards
Dave Rich
