As I write this, it’s about a minute before halftime of the BCS Championship game on Fox, and I’ve heard at least 2 Bruce Hornsby song clips used as bumper music or background music to feature stories. Earlier in the game, I heard Song C playing behind some story they were doing about some player (I was playing online poker at the time, or I would have the details for y’all), and just now, they went to commercial with bits of Circus On The Moon playing. Someone at Fox Sports has great taste in tunes. Bruce better get his freaking royalty checks

Funny, Rich! I missed that music, but I remember back in the day, “Swan Song” was used more than once in similar feature stories.

A British sports show kinda gave “The Way It Is” its very first prominent playing, didn’t it?

Bruce’s sports-related fans keep coming through all these years later.
