Hi Guys, in an article about the band Bon Iver, frontman Justin Vernon talks about being a fan of Bruce. He also makes reference to the Korg M1 synthesizer (same type Bruce used) that makes an appearance in their controversial song Beth/Rest, which has a very distinct 80s sound to it. This all was kind of a surprise to me although it makes complete sense, both are fantastic musicians that I love, just for different reasons. Its just refreshing to see a new band on the scene appreciating someone like Bruce. If you havent heard Bon Iver’s new album, IMO its the best new album of the year. And as a fan, I think its pretty cool sharing the same first name justin, and state (WI)!
    Here is the article….

    (its at the very end)

Secondly, Justin Vernon did a cover of “I cant make you love me” and its pretty decent. Link…

I believe they share the same management.

I do like Bon Iver’s music – but I’m afraid Vernon’s voice goes right through me, in much the same way that Coldplay’s Chris Martin does. He dropped it for a few seconds 3 minutes 25 into the video you’ve quoted, which just makes the rest of it sound all the more effected. Just my opinion – his playing in the same video is gorgeous, though.

    Thanks for posting it.
