Lola –
I was planning on going but I haven’t picked up tickets yet. Are you going to the early or late show?

Kat, Honey…
I was thinking about doing both 8 and 10:30… my last fix was last year, please excuse! Oh wait a minute!! We are all BJs[BruceJunkies] here!!!
I’ll pass on the meet and greet for two shows…that just might satisfy me for awhile. That’s if I can get a safe room inNYC for $200. Any ideas?Lola

I just got in from New York after attending both shows with Bruce, Christian McBride and Jack DeJohnette at BB King’s. Honestly….there are no words. It was a night of beyond incredible music….and it was a thrill to be at this debut performance. I’m sure the album will be a “must have.”
The trio appeared to be having a great time all evening. I saw a lot of concentration, and a lot of smiles on Bruce’s face. We all know he’s been talking about this collaboration for a LONG time and it was definately worth waiting for….and getting on the road to see.
I’ve got tons of photos to go through and will get some posted on my website as quickly as I can.

ParticipantInterview with Jack DeJohnette
Hi everybody!
On this link you can download an mp3 file with an interview with Jack DeJohnette taken just before the show at BB King’s. It contains also a snippet of Straight No Chaser.

ParticipantThanks for the link, Dana. Too bad the interviewer doesn’t know Bruce very well!
“Even though he’s known as a pop music, you know, songwriter, pianist, singer…” Pop?!? – maybe in the old days
Fortunately Jack came to Bruce’s defense: “but he’s actually very, very broad in his musical taste…”“You threw him in the deep end here. I mean we’re hearing this Thelonius Monk classic here, ‘Straight No Chaser’…” (sigh)

Hi Allisa!
Thanks for rewriting parts of the interview.
You know, as a Czech I do not understand each spoken word, so it was helpful for me.
