Well, Bruce Hornsby has officially been on the music scene for twenty-five years. 😮
Isn’t that the minimum for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Miss Virginia FormerThe Beastie Boys are pretty much the best in their music genre. Not only are they better rappers than all those other guys but the BBoys also play actual instruments and not only rap but play rock and punk. They are a HUGE talent and a bad choice for an example of a band that you consider ‘shoddy’ thats in the rock hall. I do feel ya and know what you mean but the Beasties well deserved their honor.
Now there is no doubt about it that more than half of the bands in the ROH shouldn’t be and the way they get it is probably a sham as well.
I would love to see our boy Bruce get in the ROH but lets face it…you see what the crowd is like at shows…half empty and majority of the crowd is clueless and ignorant to what Bruce is doing. I see it all the time where an older couple have on their 1990 Range Tour shirts and hoping to hear ‘Every Little Kiss’ and scratching their heads at all the jazzy twelve minute long songs they never heard of and can’t get into, then they go home and bitch about it in their reveiws on ticketmaster.com and livenation.com take a look for yourself and you’ll know what I mean about my ‘majority of the crowd’ statement. Read all the one star reveiws…they are laughable and will piss you off. I hate it but those people are the ones that are at the shows with us.
I think Bruce would have to be still selling out shows and playing in atleast 5K seat venues to even get considered but it just isn’t happening and its a shame, but still keep your fingers crossed.Pardon me while I take my foot out of my mouth. 🙄
I really need to get someone to read all my outgoing emails and filter them for crass remarks and over-opiniated statements BEFORE I send them. DD, are you available????. 😆
I admit, I have only heard BB a couple of times and shouldn’t comment on something of which I know nothing. How much of a coincidence was it that they lost one of their band members just as the were being inducted?
I would really like to find out what process is used to determine inductees. True, Bruce’s fans may be few, but we are fiercely loyal, and, face it, the majority of these fans are, shall we say, more mature, and have the experience and know-how to help put this whole thing in motion. I don’t know if fan input would help sway the decision of the ?judges?, but, hell, I’ve lobbied Senators in Washington and launched several campaigns to change laws, bills, etc. on the local, state, and national level. Just point me in the right direction and let me go.
