ParticipantBruce is scheduled to be on The Early Show on CBS, which airs from 9:00 to either 10:00 or 11:00 (eastern time). After it airs, I’ll see if CBS has the video of it available on their web site and post a link in here and/or on Facebook.

ParticipantThanks Rich!
I don’t think the CBS affiliate in my area airs The Early Show on Saturdays. Thanks for looking out for those of us who don’t have access to the program.

ParticipantWe didn’t get The Early Show in Hampton Roads (VA) because they had to do extensive coverage of a snow storm that never really hit. Dave Rich can understand this happening, since he came all the way here for a concert that was canceled by a hurricane that never came! Anyhow, the video is up on cbs.com… just click on The Early Show and it’s there. He played “In The Low Country”. Now… off to Bruce’s Facebook site to see if he had anything more than that.

ParticipantGlad to see this online. I missed it when it aired, but my dad said he was up Saturday morning and caught it. He said Bruce did some “Christmas music,” but he might have just seen the Christmas tree, the poinsettas, and heard that one “Christmas” line and assumed it was a Christmas song without paying much attention.
Does anyone know if Bruce in fact played any more tunes of the holiday variety?
David–I don’t know what that bit at the end was, but I thought it was interesting that Bruce left out the little lyrical turn of the screw at the end in a more mellow version of “Low Country” for the holidays!

ParticipantActually there were two segments of the Early show. The first one he played ” In The Low Country” and at the end of the second segment, which I haven’t found any video for, he played two insturmental Christmas songs. Don’t remember the exact titles..it was an early morning. I’m usually not up that early on a weekend and didn’t have the DVR set for the second segment, because I didn’t realize till that morning he would be on both segments.

ParticipantThe Christmas songs Bruce performed, at the very end of the show were “O Come All Ye Faithful” with a little bit of “The Christmas Song” sprinkled at the end – both piano instrumental only.

ParticipantThanks for the info, Bryan. I’d love to see Bruce to a Christmas album!!!
I guess it’s generally believed that musicians who do a Christmas album are artistically bankrupt, but I don’t think that’s necessarily so. And if Bruce’s comments on his official Guestbook are an indication, he may be warming to the idea of a Christmas disc.
It would be a great one!
