KeymasterI’ve been asked by WLIW to put this message up:
Hi,WLIW21 New York Public Television proudly presents the world broadcast
premiere of BRUCE HORNSBY: LIVE AT TOWN HALL on Sunday, October 29 at
9:30 pm. Filmed in high definition at New York’s Town Hall exactly two
years ago (October 29, 2004), three-time, Grammy-winner Bruce Hornsby
(vocals, piano, accordion) and his band The Noisemakers show off their
skills during a sold-out concert. Stellar performances of
career-spanning material from Hornsby’s days with The Range to his
latest studio album, the Grammy-nominated Halycon Days (2004), include
“Candy Mountain Run,” “Gonna Be Some Changes Made,” “Mandolin Rain” and
“The Way It Is.” The Noisemakers are Bobby Read (horns, vocals), Sonny
Emory (drums), Jervonny “JV” Collier (bass guitar), Doug Derryberry
(guitar, vocals) and John “JT” Thomas (keyboard).Bruce Hornsby will be LIVE in the WLIW21 studio for this landmark
broadcast sharing stories about the special performance. WLIW New York
will distribute BRUCE HORNSBY: LIVE AT TOWN HALL nationwide to public
television stations beginning Thanksgiving weekend (check local
listings).During the broadcast premiere, viewers can support WLIW21’s decision to
air this kind of music programming by calling 1.800.767.2121 or visiting
http://www.wliw.org (click “pledge online”) and making a donation. There are
various “thank you” gifts, including concert CDs, DVDs and WLIW
membership benefits like discounts to local museums. If you do not live in the New York metro-area, you can contact your
local public television station at http://www.pbs.org/stationfinder to find
airdates in your area for BRUCE HORNSBY: LIVE AT TOWN HALL. If your
station does not have this concert scheduled please call or write them
to let them know you want to see BRUCE HORNSBY on TV in your town! Once
a station sees public demand for a show it might convince them to add it
to their schedule. We hope you will spread the word to fellow fans through your newsletter,
website, or mailing list about WLIW21’s world broadcast premiere and
support this Sunday’s airdate! If WLIW21’s airing is a success, it is
more likely that the other PBS stations will want to air the special
this winter.Thank you for your support!
