If there were a Bruuuce Bailout Plan, then…..What would it be? Who would Bruce be “bailing out”?
:
Get your creative juices flowing!
Anything goes! 😆

Commercial radio.
Bruce could bail this institution out by showing them the meaning of creativity!
“The Tide” could be the model he uses to show other radio stations one way to showcase musicians.

ParticipantGood, conservative, neutral answer Jackie!
But…..I want to hear some “ranting”! 😆 It’s good for the soul!
Common guys! This is your place to “vent” about what’s going on with a “Bruce flare”!
Make it funny! 😆 Keep it clean!
I’m a eggin ya on! Don’t be bashful! Your thoughts are welcome!

ParticipantWell, first of all, he could bail ME out! I’ve lost about $30,00 in my retirement due to the stock market and the banks. That means many, MANY more years of teaching little snot-nosed kids. I feel I have invested quite a bit of time and money in Mr. Hornsby — concert tickets, travel, CDs, T-shirts, etc. Although , truth be told, I believe the dividends that my Bruce-investment have paid through the years has been well worth it. In fact, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had with my clothes on. 😆
(okay, Mr. Willis, go ahead and say it…..)
By the way, do you know how hard it is to type with a broken finger?????
November 14, 2008 at 2:00 am #30394David Day
ParticipantMVF, I am really sorry your 403b is now a 203b and I’m very sorry you broke your finger!
I can tell people are down and don’t “discount” that feeling. We have a lot of information bombarding us right now. So…..A little bit of humor might be good for the soul!
When I asked…..”If there were a Bruuuce Bailout Plan, then”…..I was thinking more in the lines of something funny. You see, there is so much going on in “Bailout Nation” that…..We need to take a step back and laugh! You just can’t help but laugh about what’s going on! 😆
So…..Here is an attempt to not only try to cheer you up with a “Bruce flare”, but hopefully get your creative juices flowing also!
When I was thinking about the Bruuuce Bailout Plan, the first thing that came to mind was…..
If there were a Bruuuce Bailout Plan, then Bruce would be bailing out “Stacked Mary Possum” who got caught with “The Tango King” while they had a thing going on on “Swing Street”! 😆
Come on guys! You can do it!
Think up something!

ParticipantOK,now I see where you’re going with this! 💡 Bruce could bail out the Lost Soul who travelled Across The River and got Stranded On Easy Street.

ParticipantVery, very good Jackie!
You get the picture! 😆
If there were a Bruuuce Bailout Plan, then…..Mr. D.E. in the corner could dance with Miss Virginia Former and the Bruuuce Bailout Plan would cover up the fact that…..Mr B.M.O.C. & Mr P.E. knew “what they were talking about”! 😆

Lake Lanier, GAHe should be bailing out that little roadside trailer where something wild’s going on. With credit being tight, people are having a tough time deciding what is a luxury and what is a necessity in life. I would hate to see those poor working-class ladies have to stop dealing their one-eyed jacks and be forced out on the streets.

Lake Lanier, GABruce could bail out Dave Rich 😆 Have you seen the videos of The Great Bay Days Adventure? What devotion to the man and his music! Maybe Bruce could have Dave’s band open for him next summer on a tour of the east coast of the US.

Maybe Bruce could have Dave’s band open for him next summer on a tour of the east coast of the US.I’ll vote for that one! I read this week that there are 5 pubs closing per day in UK. Got an e-mail for daverich and said they are having to convert to a “function band”. Can’t see daverich doing “Brown Eyed Girl” or “YMCA” 😆 at weddings, but you have to do whatever it takes right now to survive. (Can’t help but think of Meganm and husband also.)
So…..The first phase of the Bruuuuce Bailout Plan should be to bailout musicians! You guys agree with that?

Don’t know how long it will take, but…..There will be “Pastures of Plenty” again. “I know they are out there somewhere”!

ParticipantI would hope that Bruce bails out the “Fortunate Son” especially since he is feeling “Comfortably Numb” because of all of the “Barren Ground”. Maybe Bruce could let him borrow his “Crown of Jewels” so he wouldn’t have to sell “Rainbow’s Cadillac”.

You can always count on Larry!
When I think of “Barren Ground”, it always makes my mouth dry! 😆 daverich, I need one of your pints! 😆
I agree! 😆 The Bruuuce Bailout Plan would bailout the “Barren Ground” so can we can go “Across The River” by “The Valley Road” to the “Pastures of Plenty” to see the “Harbour Lights”. There you will find “__________”, “__________” and “__________” at the “Funhouse”! 😆 “Who knows, you might like it!” 😆

Whoever can answer “__________”, “__________” and “__________” correctly, will win a prized print that was sent to me by Si himself….. “Long time ago, way back when”!
As usual, the results will be audited by the CPA firm of Bruce, Bruuce & Bruuuce! 😆
Anything goes! No “cussin” or “french words”. Make your answers related to Bruce song titles or lyrics.

If we are going with who could be at the Fun House. I came up with two answers that could work.
There you will find “_Charlie__”, “Woody” and “You” at the “Funhouse”!
And also
There you will find the “trapeze artist“, “lonely tightrope walker” and “accomplished virtuoso” at the “Funhouse”!
Thought I’d give it a shot…my creativity isn’t always running well, but I tried.

Here are the answers that crossed my mind: There you will find The Tango King, Stacked Mary Possum and the King Of The Hill.
I like Monica’s answers much better!

ParticipantVery, very good Monica & Jackie!
What’s interesting, I “checked in” early this morning and then this evening and noticed that Jackie had changed one of her answers. 😆
Here is a hint…..One of you has filled in one of the blanks correctly!
But, was it before or after Jackie made her change? 😆

You caught me! I submitted my first answers early this morning and changed one of my original guesses while I was at work to Stacked Mary Possum.
I thought it sounded better and I know David has a special fondness for that song.
My second defense of/excuse for my behavior: the female prerogative to change my mind. 😆
I have no idea which of our answers is/was correct, but it sure has been fun playing!

Ah…..But that’s what makes you so special!
Jackie, go with your “gut instinct” and you have one of the answers “no brainer”!
I need some guys to “check in” here. I know what they’re thinking cause I am one! The last time I checked! 😆
I will say this…..You want this print! You really do!
I don’t want to give it up…..But in the interest of Bruuuce.com and trying to keep the forum rock & “rollin”, you don’t want to miss it! You really don’t!
I’m a tellin ya!
Here is your next hint:
A “Funhouse” is sometimes called a __________ house. Therefore…..”__________” will be there there along with “__________” and “__________”!
Come on guys, wake up! Get the picture…..You don’t want to miss this! You really don’t!

) and since I didn’t write them down,I’m relying on my memory.
I believe I wrote: There you will find The Tango King, the Stander On The Mountain and the King Of The Hill.
Rich needs to give this a whirl;I know he could get the answer with no trouble at all!

ParticipantHey guys!
My brother who lives in Hong Kong was in Mumbai during the terrorist attack. Long, long story, but he made it out OK. I’ve “checked out” for the moment, but will “soon come”.
Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving! We all have a lot to be thankful for!

Glad to hear the good news,David. All I can add to your last sentence-with complete seriousness- is: “Amen!” (A quote frequently spoken in the southern part of the USA
)
Take all the time away you need;you know we’ll be here when you return.

Lake Lanier, GAI’m glad to hear that all worked out well in the long run for your brother. The world is a scary place sometimes. Take all the time you need, man. Family always has to come first.

P.S. They need to stop changing the names of these cities. If it was still called Bombay, I would’ve known where it was when they first mentioned it on the news. Heck, it took me long enough to get settled on Beijing after all of those years of it being Peking. Egads! Mumbai/Bombay, Beijing/Peking, Myanmar/Burma, Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon, Thailand/Siam… no wonder these people are always ticked off.
They don’t know the name of the place they’re in!
December 5, 2008 at 2:46 am #30412David Day
ParticipantRich, you are soo right! When I first heard of an attack in Mumbai, I thought…..so what, another attack that’s going to be apart of our life now anyway. What I didn’t realize was that Bombay is now Mumbai! I fell “asleep at the wheel”! I knew my brother went to Bombay, but did not know he went to “Mumbai”.
To make a long story short…..You never want to get a call from “The State Department”! You never do!
Tonight I had on “Noisemakers”. For whatever reason, I realized “The Way It Is” on “Noisemakers” was the very best rendition I’ve ever heard. I’ve always gone to shows knowing that Bruce would “have to play it”. But, for whatever reason it sounded soo good!
I guess the moral of the story is…..”Whatever goes around, comes around”. When I started this blog, I never realized that I would need a “Bruuuce Bailout Plan” myself!
That’s my story and I’m stickin to it!
