This year’s Daily Dose Day on April 9 is set to be the biggest ever. I’m opening up the first contest early – now! – because I hope that it will significantly boost funds, and the prize to the winner is the best that we’ve ever given out.
Here’s the story – I’m looking for corporate donations this year, and this time whoever can organise the largest corporate cash donation wins this gorgeously-framed, signed, engraved copy of The Way It Is! It weighs in at 8lb, and yes, it does come with the album enclosed!
This year, US-based donations are tax-deductible (I’m also working on something similar for UK residents) and I’m asking you all to please contact your employers, your local companies, neighbours, or even your own business for a donation, however large or small. Of course, gift donations are also gratefully received, and we’ve already got some to use as great contest prizes. Full credit will be given to each donor.
Further details are available on the How You Can Help page, which from today includes a website address to make online donations (of any kind) now, although the main drive will be on April 9.
This prize is a piece of Hornsby history, and it could well be yours. You really can’t put a price on it – and here it is:
