ParticipantHas anyone noticed that the 9/08 Buffalo show has now been Munck’d
?…but apparently the ‘download’ box isn’t working
I e-mailed Munck service (something that I’ve done quite a bit, unfortunately
), so hopefully that’ll be cleared up. Sometimes they respond, and sometimes they don’t.
Anyone else having issues, if you have seen this new development? (I’m using Firefox…dunno if that would have any bearing…seems like every so often I have to switch to IE to dwnld.)
T
P.S. I though that we’d see the freebie first, but hey…any new shows be good shows!

ParticipantThanks for the news,Trey. And you delivered it with a cool new turn of phrase… Hooray, another live Bruce release! The setlist looks incredible.
I can’t help you with the download problem, sorry. But I’m sure some of our computer savvy friends will assist you.

ParticipantWhat it is…what it is, what it is….
…is that, as ‘Service’ (what I like to call him
) at Munck replied, the Buff. show isn’t dl’able ’cause it’s not ready yet…$0 is listed, which means as such…
My mistake, that. (You could quarrel with them putting it up, but not being ready…but that’s another subject.)
However, as I alluded to, and mistook this new listing for, there are several shows in the ’04 and ’02 groups that are priced and yet cannot be clicked upon to purchase for dl. Anyhooo….
I’m sure that the Buff. show will be a tasty treat indeed, once it be ready. 😆

ParticipantThanks for the notification! It would sho’ be nice to have Munck notify us (is that what that ‘e-mail notification’ check box is for?
) but I reckon that purchasers can’t be choosers…oh, wait…
D’lding now…Pavlovian drooling has already started… 😆

ParticipantSweet! Thats awesome that they’d put that show up. I was there and had a blast. I am downloading it this second.
I never thought that I would score a copy of that recording.
13th anniversary of Jerry’s death that day and Bruce paid his respects to his ol’ buddy that night.
Thanks for the heads up.February 20, 2009 at 9:45 pm #30596GuinnessGoon
ParticipantThe only song missing is the new song Black Rats of London, I actually thought at the show that Bruce called it Badlands All Around You or something like that.

ParticipantIt’s definitely a fun show…with the band working a bit of rust off
Yeah, G. Goon, I noticed that “Rats” is missing…
Lessseee, what else…”White Wheeled Limo” has the “One Drink” tease, no “Long Black Veil.” “Little Sadie” at the beginning and midway thru…
“King O’ The Hill” gets “Q&A”‘d twice, once at the start and again a bit later…
“Innocence” gets its vox tweaked all over the place…
…and this “Sugaree” actually made my cranky visage smile. That’s as far as I’ve been able to listen. More fun ahead, I’m sure.

ParticipantI ordered my “old school” CD version of the show this past Friday & I’m drooling in anticipation! (That’s getting to be a habit on this thread 😆 )
Speaking of drooling, isn’t Gonna Be Some Changes Made on the setlist? I love the live version of this song; what do you guys who have heard it think of this version?

ParticipantWell, since you asked, I hadn’t heard that one yet, but went right to it to check it out. I think you’ll like it. A nice 2 and a half minute rip to start things off before getting to the main tune. From there it takes on the “usual” (I use that word cautiously when talking about live Bruce cuts) flow. The whole show is definitely a good one so far, but I haven’t heard it all yet. I let work get in the way both on Friday and this past weekend (lots of cleaning around the house to get done). Hope you don’t have to wait too long for those CDs.

ParticipantThanks for the report, Jim. Sounds like I have a lot of great musical adventures ahead!
That pesky four letter word beginning with “w” does cut in to music appreciation time, doesn’t it?
Actually, I retract that comment. Those of us who have a paying job and/or the physical ability to do the mundane household chores are very fortunate.
Happy listening!

ParticipantYeah I really enjoy the ‘Changes Made’ from this show. It was one of my requests and was great to get. My buddy and I both met the band before the show and asked Bruce to play WWL and Tango King and sure enough thats what he started with…well after the Little Sadie ditty.
I really enjoy alot of the versions of alot of the songs. The Tango King is my new favorite version along with his take on Standing On The Moon.
This is a good Sugaree, but there are a few moments where Bruce does something that kinda sounds weird and really doesn’t fit with the song. Its almost like he pounds on his piano. Give it a listen you’ll know what I am talking about. Bobby Read’s killer solo makes up for it though and saves it for me.
All in all it is my new favorite soundboard. -
