GuestSi,
How about a re-posting of “In the Low Country”? That song sounded fantastic when you had it up.
Great work on the site, by the way.

GuestHi Si,
I don’t suppose Bruce has included ‘Every Little Kiss’ in any of his sets in recent years??
I also loved ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ that Bruce did with Bonnie last year in LA.
Keep up the great work.

ParticipantDose request
Just found out about some more soundtrack work of Bruce’s thanks to the “Featured Fan Series” on his official site. He wrote a couple of songs with John Hornsby for the 1982 film “Making Love”. I can’t find the soundtrack on sale anywhere, or the film either for that matter. Any possibilty (copyright rules permitting!) we could get “Take me higher” and “It’s your love” on the Daily Dose?
Thanks,
JonathanJuly 19, 2005 at 3:10 pm #26113Anonymous
GuestSi,
I have two requests I was wondering if there was a solo version Country Doctor and or White Wheeled Limosine and I also was wondering if he plays the song “Will it go ’round in circles”.
ThanksJuly 23, 2005 at 6:37 am #26114Anonymous
GuestWould love to hear a “Tangled Up in Blue”
Thanks!July 24, 2005 at 3:31 pm #26115Grits_N_Gravy
ParticipantI had a couple that are weird.
Do you have a version of “Set Me In Motion”? I know he loathes that song, but it reminds me of good times.
Also, I’d love to hear “Take Out The Trash” from Saratoga 02. If it’s your favorite jam, hell, I need to hear it.
Like all before me, THANKS for this site. It’s heaven.

ParticipantOne song I’ve been looking for is Great Divide when he played on Austin City Limits with Shawn Colvin. I’ve found it on Winmx but it won’t ever find sources.

KeymasterI’m working through some of these! Bear with me, as current tour as newly-released official shows (which I’ve been allowed to post clips from) come first!

ParticipantFor when things get back to normal…
At the Biltmore show, Bruce and the band did some back-tracking at the end of Big Rumble to fulfil someone’s request for the minor key version of Mandolin Rain. Are there any previous recordings of this sequence done in full that we could have as a dose?
Thanks,
JonathanSeptember 1, 2005 at 9:40 pm #26122oskarlos
Participantjust lookin’ over my post for the setlist deal and listeinin’ to Here Comes The Noise Makers. I remember reading that the Valley Road on that album came out of Wharf Rat. I was wondering if you had that show and if you did if you could doese the; Wharf Rat > Valley Road?

it seems likely that this was the 8/12/99 show in Kettering, OH. That’s all the help I can offer as I don’t have a tape of that show.

ParticipantMan, you guys are quick. Thank you very much for your help…
I took a look at the brucebase and found two shows that may be the one but they list no segue. 08/12/1999 Fraze Pavilion – Kettering, OH and less likely 08/14/1998 Pine Knob Music Theater – Clarkston, MI
Then I found this smokin’ encore from:
(11/02/2000 King Cat Theater – Seattle, WA )Encore: Every Little Kiss, Wharf Rat > Valley Road > Mandolin Rain > Black Muddy River
Si man, if you have any of these shows please dose a wharf>valley when you get a chance. Probably after the tour…
Thanks again bud!

JonathanThanks to Allisa I’ve got myself a version of this from a 2004 show so no need to dose, unless you particularly want to.

Yeah, I wouldn’t put too much stock in whether or not the setlists include the segue, as the setlists are compiled from a variety of sources, usually fans writing stuff down in the dark and doing their best to decode their notes a few days later (been there, done that).

In the meantime, if any old Wharf Rat -> Valley Road will do, here’s one from August 2, 1997, at the Shoreline Ampitheater in Mountain View, CA. This was a Furthur Fest show, so there’s a “special guest”. Sorry about the dropout going back into Wharf Rat – I taped this one myself back when DATs were very expensive and hard drive recorders unheard of, so it was always a tough decision when to flip the tape. I was right around 44 minutes as Bruce started jaming his way out of Valley Road, so figuring he was probably going into something longer than two minutes I made the flip. Turns out I would have been safe, oh well:

ParticipantWill S. Your the man bud, thank you…
I remember wanting to go to Further that year. We saw Phish a week before at Shoreline and some people were talkin’ about staying or driving back down for Further. I was workin’ in Tahoe, couldn’t get away… Sadly it took the promoter in N. Tahoe ’till 2002 to finally get his shit together and start bringin’ good shows to the lake. 2 summers of Panic!!!
Thanks again Will, very much appreciated!
