ParticipantI was watching the comedy “All About Steve” over the weekend…..and, whoever wrote the musical score, incorporates some Bruce in it several times! It starts right after the “tornado scene” and uses it several times. When I first heard it, it literally got me out of my seat!
Check it out! In the “Davidian style”, what song is that?

ParticipantWell, uh yeah, but DD, that would mean that someone besides yourself would have to watch “All About Steve”…which earned lovable Sandy a Razzie for worst performance of ’09 (she’s also considered a front runner for an Oscar nom. for “Blind Side”; she could potentially win both!).
No thanks! 😆
BTW, the musical score for “Steve” was written by Christophe Beck, according the the IMDB:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0881891/fullcredits#castBut now that I read some of the reviews, I’m noticing something interesting — there’s quite a dichotomy goin’ on between the reviewers — cliched, but nonetheless, they either love it (someone actually says that the film is similar to modern Brit satire 😯 ) or they hate it (trash, nauseating, with a few people saying that they didn’t like Sandy’s hair 🙄 …gotta tell ya, if I don’t like the actress’ hair, I don’t watch a movie!
).
So you really got me changed around on this, thanks!
Netflix queue, here I come. (And yes, I’ll pay close attention to the score for the Hornsbyesque Hornsbyisms…)

I finally saw the movie this weekend. ( By the way, good ears,David, few people would have noticed the “Hornsbyesque” music.)
I narrowed my guesses down to 2 songs-both of them begin with the letter “S.”
After much deliberation,my answer is…”Stander On The Mountain.”
(Footnote-Favorite quote from the movie: “Who wants to be normal?”)

I’ve never looked at the music before, but as far as my discerning ear can discern…..It’s only four notes. That’s all! Could be a A-B-C#-B progression or possibly C-D-E-D. I dunno…..But maybe some of our keyboard players can “chime in” here and solve that mystery?
On the other hand……It takes my fav trombone player to know “whad mi talkin’ bout”! 😆

ParticipantI don’t have the answer on the chord progression. Next time I’m near a piano,I’ll check it out!
Thanks for the compliment,David. There’s only one problem-I was checking out Bill Watrous’ website & I saw a post from you saying HE was your favorite! (Which “daily dose” did I borrow that joke from?)
