Hey all – first time poster. Long time fan of Bruce and his various projects and bands – gotten to seen them quite a few times over the years, and its always a great time.

I’ve been playing bass since middle school, but a few years ago I really wanted to pick up something I could play more by myself vs. with other folks. My days in my bluegrass band were numbered once my wife and I started having kids! I was really inspired with what I had seen from Bruce on dulcimer, and picked one up. A few years later, I’m still going with it, and I was ecstatic with Rehab Reunion a few years ago, and I love seeing the dulcimers set up by the piano pre-show!

Wondering if their are any other dulcimer aficionados on here, or if anyone can point me to the right place? Live show recording are a great way of understanding the various tunings Bruce uses on certain songs (because you can hear him tuning between songs, etc.) but for the life of me, I have no idea how he does it sometimes – on all my instruments, my intonations goes to pot if a vary too much from standard tunings. My assuming is that he uses different gauge strings for different tunings? I’m gonna start charting this for different songs – would anyone else find that useful?
