I’m amazed…..but not surprised that Bruce doesn’t show much love for “The Way It is Album” or ‘Scenes from The Southside” on his new Essential album.
A good eclectic mix for sure and a showcase of his talents….but essential? Sorry Bruce, I don’t agree on this one.
I’m guessing the goal was to include something from every release… but Bruce is not known to listen to his older records.
I wonder if he’d consider rerecording some of the earlier material with the Noisemakers. Or a concert featuring old songs, like Counting Crows did (and then released).
