Just thought I’d start a hopefully fun new topic and was curious how long everyone has been a Bruce Fan.

I myself am 33 and been listening to Bruce for 21 years…since I was 12yrs old. Not a single CD or DVD that I don’t have and have a folder that I store all the news articles I find online. OK so I’m obsessed at least I’m admitting it. But he’s so darn addicting I just can’t stop listening!!
I’ve been to four concerts so far..and going to a fifth in Jan 08 in Louisiana. Would have been more, but ended up with pneumonia twice before two concerts..if not for a 103.5 degree fever I probably would have been there even while sick.

Now I’m married and have kids who are becoming Bruce Fans! They beg to watch the Three Nights on the Town DVD so they can play with their toys pianos!! Gotta love it…its so cute to watch.

Well hope this is the start of a new fun topic.

yeah probably about the same here – 20 years.

    Crikey. I’m old.

nevermind, imagine how old bruce must feel having people who’ve been fans for 20 years!!!

    Kind regards

    Aren’t we all?

Mine goes back to 1979, when I was working as a front desk clerk at hotel in Williamsburg with a woman named Susan Watson, wife of Bruce’s then-guitarist, Steve Watson, who was all excited about whatever the latest thing the band did. That sort of excitement was contagious!

LOL I better have been potty trained by 1986…because I was actually born in 1974.

I am in the same boat. I too am 33 and have been a fan since 1986. I have huge photo albums of newspaper articles, reviews, etc. Now, I just save things to my computer and print them out every once in a while. If I could afford it and didn’t have to work, I would probably just follow Bruce around on tour and go to all of his concerts. :D

    I feel the same way,Amy!

I’ve been a fan since 1986. I’m 43 and so eager for Bruce news I have”Bruce Hornsby” as my #1 Google News Alert topic :)
I’ve saved all my concert ticket stubs,of course. I’m just waiting for inspiration on a creative way to display them.

I guess that you will find that most people that frequent this website have been Bruceheads since he gained national (U.S.) popularity in 1986. I am one of those 21 year fans too. I have followed Bruce through thick (Scenes From The Southside (IMHO)) and thin (Big Swing Face (IMHO)) and still listen to him to this day.

I would have liked to have known him before he made it big from his club days around Wiliamsburg, but I was not so lucky.

I’ve been a fan since seeing Bruce and the boys at the Cave in Virginia Beach, back when I first got married (seems my relationship with Bruce has lasted longer than the marriage….) Loved hearing interviews with Bruce and Mike Arlo on FM 99 radio. I have a CASSETTE tape of one interview from 😆 WAY BACK….
