If Bruce was elected President….Then…..”Spider Fingers” would be his VP, “King Of The Hill” would be his Secretary of State, “Defenders Of The Flag” would be his Secretary of Defense, “Heir Gordon” would be his Press Secretary, “Stacked Mary Possum” would be his Secretary, “The Fortunate Son” would be his Treasury Secretary, “Stander On The Mountain” would be Homeland Security, “Big Rumble” would be his speech writer, “The Tango King” would be his social director, “The Preacher In The Ring” would be his Chaplin, the “Country Doctor” would be his physician, “Sunflower Cat” would be his photographer, “MVF” would be his “spell checker”, “daverich” would be his piano tuner, and “China Doll” would be his “cigar holder”. 😆 😆 😆

Lake Lanier, GABefore we hand the good Dr. Day his doctorate, the grammarian in me must point out that Mr. Day misspelled his topic header. He should have used the “subjunctive” case: “If Bruuuce WERE elected president, then …”
We use subjunctives mainly when talking about events that are not certain to happen, as in, “I wish I were an Oscar Mayer weiner.”
